There are lots of good politicians out there. Hard working, committed and honest. Unfortunately, the reputation is spoiled by those possessed with power at any cost and by those who see politics as a way of lining their own nests. I know quite a few politicians, Westminster and Holyrood based, and most of them are decent, hardworking folk who, despite what some think, work long hours and hardly enjoy any holidays.
