I don't believe their original statement to be true. They said it was on police advice then the police said they had given no such advice. Are we to believe that the police with their action in opening the gate were ignoring Home Office advice and (supposedly) putting thousands of lives at risk? After football should be free, walking away in 24 hours, selling the club for £1 and other statements one can be forgiven for being sceptical regarding statements emanating from anything connected with the Allams.
I'm as critical as anyone, but best to criticise accurately. They didn't say the Police had advised them, they said Counter Terrorism Unit had. They're two different organisations.
I believe they originally said it was on police advice. Wonder why The New Den wasn't closed off in all directions on non match days? https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/4631448/millwall-terror-plot-attack-the-den/
'the only 1' ? you mean from your little group of multi name posters on here, which I'd guess number in single figures ?
You are wrong. The new den main car park, will be closed 45 minutes before kick off. Massive over reaction the silly ****s etc etc
What they said is on page 1 of this thread, in fact it's probably the first post I'm not giving an opinion on whether what they said was true, or if it was whether advice was right or not, but they clearly said it was on advice of a regional Counter Terrorism Unit rather than local Police
If I was the council, I'd put a gate across the entrance to Allam Towers and tell them they'll open them on match days for a few hours and then lock them again
The New Den only has one car park and it's for staff and players, so closing it 45 minutes before kick off affects no-one, there is zero fan parking at the stadium.
Yes it is but not 'local' http://www.northeastctu.police.uk/ I suspect what we're dealing with is the Allams private 'Countering Unit Not Terrorists' ...
And? As part of new security measures it will be closed 45 minutes before a game. It's the new security measures bit. All clubs are different all grounds are different, the way they're laid out, where they are situated. .
And? Nobody's suggesting that measures shouldn't be taken to counter a terrorist threat at stadiums, the point is that this bollocks addresses nothing other than pissing people off.
