Aggghhh! The kiss of death twice over! Seriously though, well done to both - vindication of the great month we had. Hopefully we can pick up where we left off in a weeks time.
Clearly LJ doesn't read this site because I told him not to accept the prize if he won and to top it off Aden goes and wins the player award. This has to stop otherwise I will change my allegiance, or get on board the nice train that just arrived in BS3. My congratulations to them both and if we can only get Diedhiou up and running then things will be fine (OK ROD?).
It appears to me that we finally have the potential to weather any storms heading our way, and it will be interesting to see how we come out after the international break. On the surface the Burton match looks like a no-brainer 3 points but many have fallen in to that trap and it is the measure of a good team how they can respond to any away formation that is intended to rob us of vital points. If we have the strength to stay somewhere around where we are in the table right now until February then who knows what's possible, and for the first time in many years I have a feeling that we may outperform ourselves. Let's keep the good times rolling.
So who are you watching because our team is rubbish the manager is awful And you were never going to watch them again with LJ in charge
Same team same manager the only thing that has changed is the altitude of certain posters. At least Wiz is sticking to his principles ( flawed as they may be )
Let's not get too carried away just yet. It was this level,of over hype this time last year that in my opinion is what caused such a crash in fans belief when things went awry. Let's keep out feet on the ground, keep behind the management team and the players and of course enjoy the current well deserved accolades coming our way.
WHOA WHOA WHOA the fragility of the moment really showing through at the moment because:- 1) we have won a few, or rather got to a point ( by not losing as many ) where from in 11 games we have amassed 20 pts 2) LJ is manager of the month 3) Aden is player of the month All the doubters of last season, and for some the start of this, albeit it in less vehement way, need to be a little bit careful! "one swallow does not a summer make" I mean the bird, not a gulp, although the latter might be the reaction seeing how well we have started this season ! after being a rather stressful time last. we are a quarter through, almost, that will be at half time in the Burton game! My target for the season, before I get excited after well over 60 years is 53 points with enough games left to do something! I have always been a wider picture person, and yes we are doing well, but possibly 8 of our hardest games to navigate before the new year... 23 played and 41 points will mean we have done well, 23 played and 32 points means we on sched for what most wanted a mid table finish, still in the 20 points range? come on Lee come on team pull your socks up! the doubters are opening the draws..... we need you to finish around mid table!
How can I answer that without sounding smug. I've always believed in this team and LJ even last year when they were on that terrible run. I could see what they were trying to do. This year they've learnt quickly got rid of the bad apples and are now reaping the benefits
