    Given up on it.

TBH I have a feeling that most international football (especially qualifying) is like this now. Too many teams have adopted the Mourinho idea of 'not losing' rather than trying to win.

I gave up watching England after the last world cup. you know what your going to get and, frankly, its not worth watching.

the last decent performance I can remember from us was the 5-1 against Germany at there place.
2001 that was and Germany got to the final in 2002!

It's a crazy thought, but #horrenderson will more than likely get more international caps than Giggs.

Jay Spearing has joined Blackpool for the rest of the season after being let go by Bolton. He is only 28 and although I never really rated him with LFC I would have thought he could play at a better level than Blackpool!

Even crazier that you used Giggs as a comparison.

Yeah, I agree, but at least he can have a game of bingo and wear a "kiss me quick" hat on his days off.

Blackpool>Bolton unless counting pigs feet is your thing.

    Not really.

Giggs was mentioned as a player who got a limited number of caps. A limited player like Horrenderson will unfortunately get more than Giggs. As a follower of England that's not a good sign.

Nah, Giggs was a player that feigned injury to not play for Wales, on the few occasions he did turn up he hardly set the world on fire with the undoubted skills he had.
Yeah, Ferguson has to take some responsibility for Giggs but the he obviously made Darren Fletcher available whenever Scotland needed him.
Henderson has got limited skill compared to Giggs, no doubt about it but in the patriotic duty stakes he pisses all over Giggs.

No doubt the fact that Giggs played for Wales whereas Fletcher played for Scotland had something to do with the actions of former Scotland Manager Sir Alex.

Nah, I know what you meant pj, but I wasn't gonna let Giggs off the hook so lightly when you threw him on the sacrificial alter for me.

It's a sad state of affairs when the most decorated player in the English game, some would say the best, will get fewer international caps than Horrenderson. It just shows how low English football has gone if that can happen.

Personally he would be a player to make the squad, nothing more.

It's not just anti Liverpool. It's anti mediocrity for the national team.

You can only blame the Engerland managers that have picked him based on their judgement, other than that you could write a nice letter to the FA stating your point.:bandit:

Seriously though 'every' Engerland team I can remember has had a mix of good, average and promising players.
No need to ask where you put him in those categories, but in fairness to him he's not going to tell successive England managers he won't play because he's not good enough.
The feller thinks he's Gerrard spraying Hollywood passes all over the pitch, but not many reach their intended target.<laugh>

The sad state of affairs is that he is probably the best we have to pick from.

Shows how far englamd have fallen in quality.

Was talking to a few people and you look at England and you’d probably say apart from Kane, none of the rest of that team and squad would get into the first team or any of the other top nations really.

Alli possibly. The defence is pretty average (then again the standard of defenders over last 4/5 years has been really average) and midfield of Hendo and dire strikes fear into the heart of no one.

Honestly you and they are probably right.

Delle alli has talent but tactically he Is being played as a forward almost st spurs when he is a genuine box to box cm and as such is not developing imo as he could. He should be absolutely the best no 8 in England but there you go.

I agree on sterling, no finish. oxo, no final ball and no brain. Rashford might develop at utd more though. The backs, gk and cms sre dire really.
