That said. If a bloke fails miserably for years you don't then promote him into a more important job altogether when he has shown **** all to suggest he can do it. He needs to start at a club other than ours, with less pressure and a better owner. In my full working life of 50 years that is what actally happens. Most bosses have failed in there shop floor jobs A fitting post for my 10000 th
Just an opinion fella - 222 games and 48 wins - in a poor team for most of that doesn't make him solely responsible. - I quite like O'Shea personally but it's just an opinion. I think we normally defend better with him in the team (Well - other than when Kaboul was here)
You talk like he's the best player we have and everybody else is the let down, he hasn't even been the best defender in the squad yet. He was part of the reason we're poor he's our club captain. He doesn't just have command of his own defence, but he gets to spread his influence across the whole team. His responsibility to get players competing above their own level on the pitch. Head of the defence and club Captain and off the 222 games he's played for us we've shipped 280 goals. My eyes say he's **** and the stats say he's ****. Sorry fella, I've got to stick my opinion that he's been an atrocious signing. Not writing him off as a manager but if Ellis hands a club with problems this complex to a new manager for their first job I think it will be our ultimate ruin.
Aye absolutely - "known" you long enough to know not to try to change an opinion - I'll stick to mine too! But I don't want us to be his first job unless we're stable - I don't think he's the best player by the way - if that came across in my tone it certainly wasn't meant
Hopefully he'll do ok in this league as he seems to deal will balls over the top(virtually everything come over the top in this **** league) better than the others, something clearly alien to Kone as he's really struggled with it.
Think there's a few of ours that will do OK at this level - although O'Shea can't play 2 games a week which is an issue. Once Watmore is fully fit and firing on all cylinders I think he'll tear this league apart - problem is, if he's really good for us then we may well end up selling him next summer as we won't get promoted and we all know how much Ellis likes money in his pocket!
he is better than Galloway for certain. Here's a toughie predict our first clean sheet of the season, I say Bolton, who may not have won by then, oh oh we might cop it.
Here's something - predict what 2 words come to mind every time I see you've posted some utter drivel - I'll give you a hint - one of them is "off"
Could be gone in Jan mate. Don't think for a second Bain isn't instructed to get rid of anybody we can get a sale out of.
Oh man shut up!! I'm going through loads of SQL stuff fixing someone else's **** up and come on here for light relief!! And you give me this realistic crap to make me want to go back to work!!
Be skeptical of everything with us, be secure in that skepticism, it doesn't hurt as much when the inevitable happens, it actually becomes half amusing.
Agree about his level of play -erratic from average to a liability. I only said he had the organisational skills and football experience which suited being a manager. But he is about the best we have playing at CH - a diabolical state imv. He does compensate for his lack of pace using the skills I've shown but he should not be a first choice CH. Over and out for now
Think he's been a bit of a victim of the way our club has been 'ran' the past 5 years. He was canny for us when he first signed but realistically he should've taken a step back or moved on years ago - not his fault that our owner has a revolving door policy around managers and players and we've been playing catch up constantly. Think he will make a half decent first of a managerial career as it happens.
I think he has been poor playing wise from day one tbh. Wes covered his back in those early days, until he too found it hard going. Having said that, JoS is a natural leader and has real potential, way ahead of the likes of Ryan Giggs for example.
