Those for the redistribution of oversea's TV revenue based on where clubs finish in the League are Man U, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs & the Bin Dippers. Football is ****ed. Ruined by greed. RIP. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...e-to-discuss-overseas-money-at-london-meeting The Premier League’s twenty clubs will discuss a new proposal that would change the way they receive money from overseas broadcasting deals. The league will propose that 35 per cent of international television revenue should be allocated according to where a club finishes in the table, with the remaining 65 per cent distributed equally to all clubs. One hundred per cent of overseas money is currently distributed equally under the current system and each club received around £39m from the overseas deal last season. Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are understood to favour a change to the current equal distribution of cash. Some clubs with the highest revenue believe they should receive a greater slice of international money, in line with their global marketability and investment. The other fourteen clubs met last week, and Premier League executive chairman Richard Scudamore accepted their invitation to attend and outline the league's proposal. Nine clubs presently favour the new distribution plan, with fourteen clubs needed to agree before any changes are approved. A meeting will take place in central London on Wednesday and the proposal could be decided by a vote. Sean Dyche, whose Burnley side are sixth in the Premier League, said: "Do I think it should be an even split? Yes, just for the reasons of competition. "We know it's an imbalanced competition anyway, if you make it even more imbalanced, and money rules the competitive element of top-level football, so if someone is getting even more, and someone gets even less, it's going to distort it."
Another 6 more nails hammered into the coffin. Makes you sick. Dyche's spot on. Let the vultures **** off and start a "Super League". Ban Sky et al from televising their games and only allow them to broadcast matches between residual clubs with TV revenue only going to them.
If they feel the need to distribute it based on finishing position the greater share should be for those down the bottom in order to give them the opportunity to compete on a less unequal footing. 'Tuther 14 should vote that through.
A **** from Man Utd said the equal distribution was bad thing as a lot of other clubs not amongst the teams traditionally in the Champions League could buy players from Europe and deny those clubs the ability to choose who they wanted first. Not a fan of Ken Bates but when Man Utd floated the idea of home clubs not only keeping the whole of the gate receipts, something they lobbied for as soon as Old Trafford had been expanded enough to make it the stadium with the largest capacity, but all the TV revenues from a game, he asked them if theybseriously thought that Chelsea, and other teams, were going to travel to Manchester with all the associated costs of transport, hotels etc and not receive a penny for their efforts they were deluded. Spain is somewhere else the big clubs get ever more. After years of nearly all the TV money going to 3 clubs they altered it so they supposedly get an equal share. But they then brought in a system with a wage cap based on revenue from attendances and also extra money based on past successes (based on a convenient date for certain clubs). Of course the result is the same old big three have miles more income and the wage cap of the bottom club is less than Messi's wages, £28 million compared to Barcelona and Real's £150 million plus. It is ****ed globally.
What they don't tell you is that those 14 clubs have to include Manchester United Football Club, Liverpool Football Club, Arsenal Football Club, Chelsea Football Club and Manchester City Football Club.

Like the draft in American sports, you need something to make teams more competitive. No way would I expect those not at the top to vote for it, it would be like turkeys voting for christmas. It would just accelerate the move to some European super league.
