Have you ever seen those quiz or intelligence things on Facebook... They even do it in many ways, so stay away from those things.
The sell it to the Cornish Tourist Board and in return help promote the pasties As the Cornish are next to break away Aphex Twin will be running things down there

Deafening silence from Junckers over the police violence against the Catalan civilians. In their small way, the Catalan's idea of their nation threatens the EU's ambitions for a centralised, federal superstate. If it's to survive, the EU simply has to change direction and the sooner Junckers goes (and a few others at the top, like Verhofstadt) the better for the future of Europe
I wouldn't be so sure about that. A poll out yesterday showed Labour with a 25% lead in London, with 58% saying Khan is doing a good job. Specifically on Uber, 43% agreed with the decision to revoke their license, with 31% disagreeing. http://www.qmul.ac.uk/media/news/items/hss/200031.html
The Spanish government’s response to the referendum has been dreadful, and doubtless counterproductive, but I am beginning to understand their position. The Spanish constitution forbids secession. The Catalans really need to get that changed as a priority, then have their vote. Where is the debate on the constitution? The EU is stuck between a rock and a hard place, and is taking the legalistic route. Spain would block Catalonia joining the EU (which it wants to do), but the EU would obviously want Catalonia in.
We can agree the state violence and the conduct of the state police was reprehensible, and as you say, counterproductive. If you have a separate nation with its own language, like Catalonia or Wales, and there is a clamour for a referendum on secession, then the way to deal with this is not to send in armed police but give people the referendum as the UK did for Scotland, and have the debate before the vote so all the issues are aired. With goodwill, an independent Catalonia could develop into a strong ally and trading partner for Spain, as Ireland has for the UK. The Catalonia issue is more than a few extremists trying to hijack the will of the people, but nevertheless, the irony is that if Spain had called their bluff and allowed a referendum, it's likely there would have been a majority for remaining Spanish. The lesson is, these matters have to proceed with the people's consent, after detailed debate. Central EU constantly wants to suppress national argument in the cause of uniformity. It smacks of totalitarianism.
That conclusion suits your agenda perfectly. There may be some truth to it (not the totalitarian bit) because the EU would work more smoothly without regional variation. But I think the EU is a red herring in this, it’s between the Catalans and the Castillians.
I don't have an agenda on the EU now. We're coming out, so I can be objective about it. Sure, it's a Spanish issue, but the EU should have a view about police violence against civilians within member states and condemn it in strong terms, which they have failed to do. If it was Hungary sending in police to enforce borders against illegal immigrants, using batons, rubber bullets, fists, dragging women across streets, leaving people bloodied and requiring hospital treatment, you can bet the weight of the whole Brussels machine would fall on Budapest.
Of course there is another possibility that yet again the reportage is not accurate. The public sees 5 seconds of footage and the mind is made up When the riot police in both France and Spain are deployed the **** hits the fan ... what’s more it’s expected and in a bizarre way accepted Not in the U.K. of course we don’t find it acceptable but we also do have a apathy towards our police Softly Softly Right or wrong maybe we are the difference. I have always maintained that on the continent the police are leagues above the U.K. when it comes to action I have personally seen a disabled woman dragged from her home by the hair ... no ****ing about she was in the wrong for refusing eviction notices, verbally abused the police and threw a spanner at them albeit 22 years ago In Beziers a while back a terror suspect was spotted in a service station ... they took out the entire station more or less no hestitation A runaway dog entered the council offices in Horsham this springtime 23 police I counted , area blocked off for 1.5 hours while they brought in the dog squad who had then forgotten the dog cage The owner of the dog which had slipped the lead was not allowed to try and call the creature to heel It was removed struggling with a muzzle on it My point is we see things a lot differently based on the reports we view and instantly become experts on Police tactics ... when in truth we are nothing but citizens European Special Units are a force not to be crossed and my blood boils when on here they are belitttled and made out to be sub standard in comparison to the U.K. imo the U.K. police force is not as effective, run by business quangos All fluff and no knickers In Europe Male or Female they act Because thankfully they are still allowed to . I laugh my head off when I see UK police trying to handle wasted females outside clubs in Sutton on Thursday to Saturday nights ... shouting, screaming and spitting at the Police. What respect do the Police have with these methods I would water canyon the sluts So a few beatings from probably over blown reports sorry but to me it’s no biggy and will be forgotten in 5 days Don’t believe me try saying Pig to a European Riot policeman see what happens If they say move you move
Now the King of Spain has a pop at the Catalans. Of course as a firmly Republican area in the Civil War (along with Madrid) it has probably never been popular with the monarchy. Viva la Republica!
The King of Spain is nothing more than a hairy nipple. The Catalans should tell him to go wibble. P'tang!

A lot of this is all just populism; everyone has a bogeyman. In England it's the EU, in Scotland it's England, in Flanders it's Belgium, in Italy it's the south. Give it a few years out of the EU and people in the north of England will want out of the UK because they'll need another bogey man with the EU out of the picture. Rajoy has just helped deliver the Catalans a big boost with his heavy handedness; once they go the Basques will go.
6 months old and only 44% wanted to Leave. Looks like our fate was decided by the ‘don’t knows’, a few more of them randomly crossed the Leave box than the stay box.
Labour's resurgence really is getting to the Tories. Jeremy Hunt now claiming that the Tories created the NHS!
