God knows what he had, but his wife was allegedly in the room with him earlier in the day. You can carry a lot of kit in two large suitcases.
The woman, his girlfriend, has been apprehended and cleared of any involvement She was with him earlier in the day and he was using her ID for various things but she didn't know about his plan
http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...athy-for-vegas-vics-probably-republicans.html Jesus christ.... some people.. ..
He had a ****ing arsenal of weapons this guy IS are currently trying to claim it and saying he recently converted to Islam but that's probably BS
https://www.salon.com/2017/10/02/alex-jones-las-vegas/ I can't read any more of this now. Enoufh of the us sites.
I don't really know what to say. I watched some unutterable prick from the pro-gun lobby continuing to spout the same old crap. Absolutely ****ing crazy that people refuse to see the correlation between availability and use.
Even if they banned the sale of all guns to the public tomorrow imagine how many guns there are in private hands at the moment, not counting those held illegally. At least when we banned all guns except shotguns, and even then we banned pump action ones, there was not a vast pool of weapons in the country as our previous laws were pretty strict. Just checked online and it is estimated there are between 270 million and 310 million guns in private hands in America. Absolutely crazy situation they have got themselves into.
Some of the figures below are distorted, Switzerland for example has no standing Army, but every male between a certain age is issued with an assault rifle and given training, they also have to shoot under supervision several times a year, sort of a standing militia. I am surprised our figure is so high. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_guns_per_capita_by_country
Australia had a similar gun culture at one point and lots of guns in circulation. By limiting gun ownership they almost wiped out gun crime in a decade. Not saying the US would be quite as successful, but if it were only half as successful that would be wonderful.
my opinion based on talking to a few americans is this really is a recent and accelerating issue. Pre WWII there were few weapons, post WWII lads brought home their m1 garands and colts etc but it really wasn't wide spread but it seems to me that its just ballooned over time. I don't know iof its 1980, 1990s or what or just which law but its completely out of control now.
It's hilarious / really worrying when people say, well it's Americans right to be able to buy a gun etc. Yeah cos when that was written I'm sure they had his in mind. It was a totally different time and guns were used for different things then. They were more a necessity, no one needs a gun now. Not one civilian
It's a throwback to when people feared swapping British rule for some other oppression so they ensured not the right to bear arms individually but to form militias and arm them. It's a ridiculous rule that leads to Waco etc and now is so twisted it enables mass murder
With a heart breaking sigh...reporters tweet from 2 years ago popped up again on Twitter. In retrospect Sandy Hook marked the end of the US gun control debate. Once America decided killing children was bearable, it was over.
There was a time after independence when they feared that Britain would re-invade through Canada so they wanted to be prepared, but Jesus it's lunacy to use that line of reasoning these days. And the people who formulated the Amendment couldn't possibly have envisaged the destructive power of modern weaponry. They've just got themselves into a situation where there seems no escape. Absolute madness.
Well and the Constitution doesn't specify what arms you do and don't have the rights to. We don't let people arm themselves with plutonium for dirty bombs or anthrax, for example. I think the following could also be banned and not ruin the spirit of the law/ why people want guns for legitimate reason: Automatics/semi automatics. Unless you're being attacked by a drug cartel you simply don't need that for defence or hunting. Concealable pistols. Let's face it, if a weapon is concealable it's not really intended for defence and pistols arnt typically used for hunting. Pistols are the primary type of guns used for crimes. Keep the shotguns. Keep the rifles... Both are absolutely horrible, but it would be a compromise I'd be willing to take if it got semi automatics and hand guns off the street. You can use a shotgun or a rifle for anything the framers of the Constitution would have had in mind.
Now being reported the bloke had 23 guns, rifles set up on tripods and thousands of rounds of ammunition. He was shooting for 72 minutes, which seems a long time. He shot himself as Police burst into his room. Also being reported he was a millionaire property owner, must have completely flipped over something.
