What's your stance on lying? I believe it's proven that we all lie to each other on a daily basis no matter how honest we think we are but how hard do you work in that respect? Personally I try to never lie about anything, if you see me say something I mean it and if there's silence on my end it's because I'd rather say nothing than lie. I'll be as honest as I can with people but I'm not an idiot, sometimes a lie will defuse a situation and make everyone happier. I think it's partly an age thing, when I was younger I was more dishonest but in my thirties I've concluded that being straight with people is the only way to be and the older I get the stronger that feeling will get.
Well you're a liar because you told us Billy Jones was going to score 9 goals at the weekend and look how that turned out? You know how much I hate him as well. On a serious note, everyone does it from full blown lies to twisting the truth slightly for one reason or another. Interesting thing to write about when you were clearly plastered!! (judging by your above comment).
I think you have to admire my dedication to spelling despite swimming in a pool of wine and whiskey. I genuinely thought Jones was going to bang in nine goals for us, I can tell he's due. Next game maybe.
What I can't work out - if he was that plastered - how come the spelling and punctuation are as good as ever? I can;t write or type for **** when I'm hammered!! And we've all seen @Salad fingers and his regular asnbcmnndhhhnndnvhvhff random letter pissed posts!
I was a maths teacher for 40 years so got used to lying on a daily basis "Of course quadratics are important........"
Must have been at that sweet spot when you're drunk but not quite drunk enough for the room to be spinning. I'm usually pretty solid at seeming normal until I tip over the edge into being genuinely hammered.
I mirror that but sometimes honesty makes can make you look a fool - liage .... Predictive text aswell
Snap =- I taught maths until I started working for the NHS (although it was to adult learners) - I do regularly use the calculative side of it but who needs Sine Cosine and Tangent ? Never used that since leaving school - but have taught it to hundreds of people!
Depends on the lie, the potential consequences and who you're lying to. Everyone lies, compulsive ones who do it without thinking **** it up for themselves every time. Those who give it thought with no respect for the 3 things a I mentioned are dodgy ****ers to say the least. I'll lie and twist for effect when it comes to getting something out of corporations(I'm a ****er for it but do well I think) But day to day life I'm pretty straight talking, I think must of my fibs are humor orientated to my lass, but the joke is always reviled
Look I didn't start this thread for it to be rampant with racism. Don't know why I did start it mind.
I try my hardest never to lie it came from my mam she just beat the **** out of me if I did, funny how that makes you think twice when its explained like that.
