There's some truth to the unfashionable part imo. Most of the 'top' clubs want attractive and attacking football which is the opposite of Dyche. I'll add that Dyche could play differently if he were given the players that the top clubs have.

I agree, he's certainly not pulis that's for sure. Though even style of play aside it certainly seems unfashionable to appoint English coaches. You rarely see Howe linked to a bigger job for example, though I wouldn't be surprised to see Everton go for him if Ron gets the boot.
I've always rated Dyche and what he has done at Burnley is miraculous. He is a superb organiser and I would guess a great motivator too...
Absolutely, although I seem to remember Howe being linked to a few clubs after his first season in the Prem. I'd imagine Ancelotti will also be in the ruining if Evertons new owners really are as ambitious as some claim, that's if Koeman is let go.
As stunning as Valencia's strike was, I think if Pickford was Forster's size he saves it. Was more or less middle of the goal although it was an unbelievable hit.
I hope that Bournemouth doesn't panic and sack Howe if they're still in the relegation zone in a few weeks (which seems likely: their next three are Spurs away, Stoke away, and Chelsea at home). But if they do, I'd keep his phone number close at hand.
Ancelotti would be an unbelievable appointment if they do decide to get rid. If there's any suggestion he's interested then they should just do it now. One of the truly elite managers in the world right now without doubt.
I know it's popular to hate him on here and it's going over old ground a bit, but I do really like Ron and you can't argue with his record while here. Will look back at his time with fond memories anyway, arguably our best manager in my lifetime anyway.
Same, I don't think I hate any ex player or manager although I regard some in a more positive light than others. I think the only time I could have said I hated a manager when he left would have been Hoddle and I'll put that down to the fact I was about 15.
I lost all respect for him when he clearly went to Everton for the money, he could've waited for an offer from a top club but saw the pound signs flashing after he said that he wasn't interested in the job.
I'm not so sure about this tbh. He had a year left with us, it appears that he wasn't overly keen on signing a new deal for whatever reason (maybe dispute about money, maybe because we were going to sell Mane, maybe a combination of these or something else) before Everton came in for him. Whatever it was it is very rare that a manager goes into the final season of his contract, he either leaves or signs an extension. So I don't think waiting it out was an option, especially as we ended up selling Mane and Pelle the summer he left (which he probably knew would happen) who were his 2 main guys attacking wise, so even if he did stay for the extra year it would've been hard for him to increase his reputation and more likely would've harmed it and lead to top clubs not being interested in him. When he left he said Everton were showing more ambition which has been seen by the amount of money he has been given (I don't care what anyone says, in football ambition = money spent as this is what needs to happen to really improve). You can argue whether he has bought well or not, but he stated his main reasons for leaving were that Everton are a bigger club and with their new owner were showing more ambition, I think these are both true. I'm sure the massive increase in wages helped aswell though.
I'll be honest LTL, I semi made that post knowing that you'd pop up after Was easier than I imagined though, I thought it would take longer than 3 minutes As a serious point though: there's absolutely no doubt that Poch is a better manager/coach than Ron, I don't even think that's up for debate if we're honest. But due to time spent here and what was achieved, then Ron was a better manager *for us* imo. A fair comparison in my mind is that Toby is a better all round CB than Virgil, but I think history will remember Virgil as a better CB for us... For the same reasons as listed above.
Don't wanna go over old ground but I seriously think that he felt he had taken us far as he can under our current model. Can anyone say that is incorrect? He finished 6th and knew he was losing Mane and Vic... Does anyone really think he could better that with the buy to sell model? Not slating the model btw, just saying he hugely over achieved for a club of our size, and it's perfectly reasonable to say he had taken us as far as he realistically could.
