I will absolutely guarantee you when you see Kanye pushed on

    A) there's 3 cbs behind allowing him to do that.

    B) he hasn't go e without his cm partner being goal side.

My view on what you have said about the whole until press is part of the issue

    Sorry but you need
    3 forwards
    3midfielders
    2 full backs

    To press?

    I don't get it. I really don't.

Most teams that go with a high press do not do that. I truly believe we are just abdicating the job that's needed.

If the job is to press hard then what's the point when one easy pass and you are done?

It's too much. Too much risk chasing a turnover ball and doing it in poor areas.

It's not where a guy has his back to play or recieving a poor ball or in a wide areas with little out ball. Im seeing headless play where guys just rush up or worse two go for the one ball.

And they have a target? I watched on really nice position where gone had it and mane was basically nowhere. He was jogging forward outside the box like he assumed no ball was coming. He couldn't then get in far post.

Honestly I think it's far too much critism of the full backs

But... I agree the only way we score is one two play to get into box or a long shot.

I go back to Robertson.... if it's all about overlap and attack ...what did he do wrong? No worse in defence and put at least 4-5 balls across between keeper and defence.... surely it's not his fault if the forwards aren't in position....maybe I'm old-fashioned but is that not the exact move and ball a winger and or full back should put in? Run up with speed and quick first time ball to turn the defence towards their own goal????

Last season's top six and their current strength in relation to last season (In My Opinion):

    Chelsea: = (same)
    Spurs: =
    City: >> (improved)
    LFC: < (deteriorated)
    Arsenal: =
    Man U: >>

Chelsea and Spurs are as strong as they were last season. The Manchester clubs have improved significantly. Arsenal probably stayed the same or slightly improved with the addition of Lacazette but has lost chamberlain. We have lost Sakho and Lucas and added Salah. Our defence seems to have got worse and our attack has not got better. Maybe just a perception but we are getting draws when last season we would get a win.

Am i wrong? I just assumed if you wanted high press, fast left and right ams and fast attacking full back it was for the fb to overlap, cross the ball and have the opposite am be at the back post cutting in to tap in?

With the added bonus of width making more room for the likes of Coutinho and Firminho centrally.

With us when someone runs wide and hit the by line everyone pulls back to edge of box...after a couple of times the oppo defence learns it doesn't have to worry about the wide ball as it's not real.

    So yet again congested center

Robertson imo has not done a thing wrong. I didmt see a defensive lapse either.

But like.. ok.. last game I was annoyed every single cross was getting past Moreno but I fail to see why there's angst over him or robertson. It's not what breaking us.

Just a quick a note on klopp comments.

    Have to start helping ourselves.

We create and create and create.

    We make one mistake

Not I don't agree we only made one mistake. We only have them on real chance but in reality lots of errors were made luke Gomez and then say Moreno needles foul

However you could interpret klopp as saying how the **** didn't 4 goals not go in cos handy chances were there.

Well .... get wijnaldum out of the side or play him no 6 where his static play would at least fill a hole

And give your forwards a kick from me.

    Agreed.

    It's midfield always has been.

We can get it all the defenders we want...it may even reduce it somewhat but no defence can be that open and not make mistakes.

So...i won't bitch about Klopps plan...fair enough but he talks about attacking and defending as a unit....sorry but that's 80% on the midfield. They aren't doing it...they are either uninterested or hiding.

THAT'S where I'll criticise him that he doesn't appear to be hauling them for continually not doing it. He can't be thinking them trotting back or not at all is ok so call them on it.

I'm all for not doing it publicly at first but if he's done it behind doors and they aren't listening? Take the armband off Henderson, bench wingnut.....

perhaps its the formation, the 4-3-3 isn't giving enough protection. maybe a 4-2-3-1 might serve better as you can have all the attacking options with Can and Milner in front of the defence or 4-1-3-2 with Can or Milner. but they have got to be disciplined enough to stay there!

Well my name isn't Steven. <laugh>

To be fair, does it not count as a clean sheet when the goal was a comical error and not intended? :bandit:

The handballs? Neither imo, 1st the defender jumps and the ball hits his hand as he's on the way down, not even looking at the ball. 2nd hits the guy in the chest.
