Clearly you were watching a different race...

Enable was cruising the entire race and once the ground levelled out after the bottom bend, she ran away from her opponents without Dettori having to get serious. Had some challenger arrived, she would have been given a hard time and would still have won.

You were watching one horse. I was watching the race. As I said the winner would probably have won anyway but my selection was on her shoulder all the way and when the winner accelerated the balydoyle horse going backwards blocked the run and Brametot had no where to go and had to take a pull and change tack. Race over.

Personally i think it was one horse first, the rest no where. She's possibly the same level of ability as the rest of the boys but she's getting the allowances and as Kevin Blake says, 'you can't give 10lbs to a machine'.

Strangely, I did watch the whole race not just the one horse. Brametot was fourth, just on the inside of Enable for a large part of the race. Clearly I had a better view than commentator Ian Bartlett who kept saying that Enable was in second even though there were two Coolmore horses in front of her! Brametot did get squeezed by the two pacesetters as they faded but he clearly did not stay as he never ran on once he got out of trouble. I have no idea what Lordan was doing on definite stayer Capri and Winter clearly did not stay. The two Japanese horses never featured at all. Ulysses had a good position the whole race and was still four lengths behind Enable.

Yes QM. Once Frankie set Enable alight it was quite simply a procession with virtually the whole crowd roaring her on from some way out, admiring a champion. We were right near the winning post on the rails and Frankie had eased her down when he could see he had the race well won. The winning distance was flattering to all those behind her. I thought she would win well but not as easily as that. It was something else to see that live. And she is a beautiful specimen. We could almost touch her in the parade ring

Good performance but its a nightmare of a track and id much rather have seen the race at Longchamp.

Ulysses probably lost 2nd by trying to go every step with her and Barzalona picked up the pieces from a dream trip. The top 4 all had a good trip, following each other 2 off the rail in almost perfect Indian file. Brametot also saved plenty of ground but he wasnt good enough to go through a gap between a pacemaker and a Gold Cup horse so hes not going to win an Arc, would have finished 4th. I thought Dschingis Secret ran a good race considering a horrendous trip and nothing else really was worth noting.

It was just a decent Arc, she was nowhere near as impressive as Treve and there probably wasnt anything of the class of Orfevre at 1m4 behind her, Ulysses is a better horse at 1m2, but shes had a brilliant season and shes a top 1m4 filly.

Its a shame Ulysses isnt staying out next season because it would be interesting to see them race against each other at 1m2 with closer weights.
