Over the course of a season when there's tight games and such those forwards who will score that one chance that comes are vital. Where we might win quite a few there will be those games where that one chance comes and goes.

Kane, morata, lukaku, Aguero are setting the league on fire so far.

Spurs have no back up. Chelsea are mixed, Utd have 3 or 4 guys to pick from and city have Jesus etc.

We are relying on one of the front 3 to get one. Like we need all 3 to get 10-15 each.

 

So Hodgson got no help from his "good friend Sir Alex", maybe if he'd have touted their friendship earlier in the week the Scot could have had a quiet word with Maureen to go easy on Palace.

I am afraid it looks like we've hit our peak last season in coming fourth. We had the help of very few extra matches: no Europe and out of cups early.

This season with more difficult matches to play, we've not improved our squad whilst others have.

The mancs have had an extremely easy start to their season, playing only weak teams and their first real test is meeting us next. We have to stop them otherwise their morale will be further up.

Utd have not played their new cb at all and could afford to rest bailly yesterday. We are really.struggling to get lovren on the pitch and im worried about matips dodgy ankle now.

Yes, he needed to change it, Rooney has been playing at 10 but dropping off too deep and leaving us short of bodies up top.
