Very magnanimous of you (not taking the piss) but after spending £380m in 16 months they ought to be good. If they do not win the title and at least one cup and get to at least the CL semi finals it will be a clusterfuck of a season imho. The Pep is a genius band wagon is a joke. Anyone spending £170m while also having Aguero, Silva and kompany at the club yet wins **** all ain't all that (that was super pep last season)...his great genuis was to spend a further £210m this summer. They then had the ****ing nerve to bitch avout Arsenal not selling Sanchez to them...Hope they win **** all again.
Was listening to the commentary on talksport and Stuart Pearce was praising City for buying well...ffs...with THATamount of money how could you go wrong. Our record buy is £30m...their bargain find of a young player Jesus cost £32m! It's like the pundits all believe in the emperors new clothes. They will be in for Sanchez in January and Dele and Kane next summer. Pep is buying the league pure and simple and for the sake of football I hope they fail.
Of course he does. It stands to reason. Pixie has finally cottoned on to the fact that Arsenal will be languishing in Spurs' shadow for some while, with their current clown owners, so he is praying that a crooked Russian or Arab or Chinese mafia-type will come in and buy the Gooners the kind of glory they know they can no longer achieve by conventional means. In short, he has become a plastic. It is sad to witness. There was a time when I almost respected Pixie. Not any more, I am afraid.
Amen, brother! But the same applies to both Chavs and United. Of the three plastic clubs, I'd rather City win it.
Pixie would prefer a sugar daddy who spent money on the club rather than a cowboy fantasy wonderland.
Apart from the fact that I didn't, Kronke isn't a sugar daddy because he invests **** all. Bit of a weak effort there Bobby
United at least earnt money through big attendances and winning trophies in the late 1970s and 80s and early 1990s. Before Abramovic chelsea won at least 1 Fa cup, a league cup and I think a cup winners cup during the 1990s...city hadnt won **** all since the mid 1970s before they were bought. The season before they were bought they set a record for the least amount of goals scored at home in a season (think it was 10). City have built nothing. Chelsea had built a team from 1994 ish onwards city were just **** and built **** all...they just bought any one they wanted and imho it has put a fews nails in my love of football
You're wasting your time giving HIAG football facts, but I agree with his sentiment that out of the plastic clubs, a City title is the most meaningless.
Didn't Chelsea win the Autoglass trophy before they became a 'big club' after Roman bailed them out ?
