You mean, you hope that comment won't come back to haunt you. Surely you're used to the self inflicted humiliation by now ?
I couldn't give a flying **** either way. But it sure looks like the title is headed to Manchester. One or the other.. Back to my tapas and vino. Un saludo.
Not these days, Pix. I long predicted the infamous North London Power-Shift, and now it has very much arrived, and looks likely to stay for quite a while. I'm not surprised that, these days, you are more concerned about what Spurs is up to, and looking to criticise everything you can, no matter how pathetic it makes you appear. "HIAG! You're only third, mate!" "Is that really that important when you're languishing in 7th, though, Pix?" "Er... Yeah, well, you're already a massive 5 points behind United, HIAG! That's embarrassing, mate!" "Indeed, it is, Pix. But it's a lot less embarrassing than being 9 points behind and with an uber-bell-end in charge of your club, don't you reckon?" "Er... Yeah. Well... your mum stinks!" That's exactly how it sounds to the lads, mate, every time you try to engage me in a serious footy discussion, these days.
How has a conversation about Chelsea and Man City turned into an argument between an Arsenal and Spurs fan Well done to City though, they looked the better team today. StanDman, you're a gimp.
There is no argument. I pointed out that Spurs are 5 points behind the team that HIAG said won't maintain any kind of threat to City, despite him claiming that Spurs were the only team going to offer a threat to City. Cue HIAG acting like a prick because he knew he'd ****ed up, again
I took Stan Jr and his mate to a non league game today. His mate is a bit of a bell end when it comes to football, partly because he doesn't come from a footie family. After I'd paid for his ticket and we'd got into the ground the first thing he said was "why would anyone support this lot, they're not even Premier League?" He then mocked the ground, the facilities and the fans. We sat in the family area for the first half and then stood behind the goal with the nutters in the second half. On the way home I couldn't help not lecturing about how the PL has ruined how young people view football which inevitably led into my monologue about why I hate fantasy football! I know the obvious response to this post will be "you're a Man United fan" but I don't give a ****
Lol stan can be a bit outrageous but he's not wrong in what he said. I didn't watch the match as was out with missus all day and seeing that lineup i knew we probably weren't going to do much. Dave at rwb does not work. He has nothing going forward really, especially when on the counter as his touch, dribbling isn't good enough (smashing defender though). Meant we were holding out for the draw. After morata went, you have willian and hazard, both as famous for their runs as Fabregas is for his speed. So basically we had no attackers allied to our lack of technicians to keep the ball. Alonso cannot win a 1 on 1 battle against walker either so basically mark hazard and we ain't scoring against a team like City who will press us out of the ball. Those subs were terrible, moses should have come on, one of the CBs off. Oh well, we can only hope that City and United hit a rocky period as we falling out of the race already. As usual, Conte is too conservative against the big teams.
Perfect Summary as usual Bobby. Yes, we are running out of the race for 4th spot as Spuds are above us already.
don't be silly stan. Conte plays the odds in the big games where it's a 50/50 roll of the dice (similar to mourinho imo). Still though he's a master at rolling over the smaller clubs so we'll definitely be in top 4. I'm still hopeful of a title challenge but morata needs to stay fit.
Supposing I agree with everything you said here. You agree with Stan that its sabotage? That Conte did it on purpose to throw the game, and that, despite being 4th after 7 ****ing games (we were lower than this after 7 games last season I should add) we are out of the race for 4th place Melodramatic hysterics from Stan once again. Don't encourage him.
Obviously Conte isn't sabotaging. Stans just being melodramatic. The general gist of his post isn't incorrect though. No idea why we kept fabregas for the 90, we needed some other players who can keep the ball better. In a pressing game like Citys alongside no runners (and he can't hold players off) and he cannot defend, he's basically useless (please note havent watched the game)
They're both the antithesis of Liverpool fans who think they can win everything. Made quite amusing reading these last few pages.
Yeah, we're meeting up to play darts with our Gary Cahill posters. Haha i actually saw the man city team bus and the players board it today when i was out with the missus (she oddly wanted to wait and see them) was thinking whether i should do something to unsettle them. Sounds like i should have
If keeping Cescy & Cahill for 90 mins isn't sabotaging then what else?? They both did a lot to City then anything for us. I just call it the way it is!!
The game can basically be summed as thus : Chelsea and City are fake clubs who would be Championship teams without their respsective sugar daddies
Nah i reckon we'll still be up there challenging later. I also thought we'd have won it very early last year. I just don't agree with Contes selection in the big games. Also don't think Fabregas and Cahill should be first team players (this season) so when results don't go correctly of course i'm going to be annoyed.
