Even before the game kicked off at OT is was guaranteed that the home team would score goals, win the game and that the home team would be top of the league by 4.45pm.

Anything in between is tumbleweed and sensationalism.<whistle>

Seeing Roy just made me realize we had Jovanovic Konchesky and Poulsen in our team. I had banished such memories <yikes>

Palace have played 7, lost 7 and scored 0 goals. The bad news is that they have Hodgson in charge.

Best result for us from the City/Chelsea game would be a draw, or a City win.

I wish I shared your optimism that the result will have any impact on our season.

I hope city win to keep up with Utd and not let a gap emerge. Hopefully Utd have a bit harder run coming and city grab this league by the neck and don t let go.

Anything that bunches up 3rd and 4th place means we might sneak in. I don't want City, Utd, Chelsea, Spurs breaking away from us.

I think the boat may be sailing on the top 3. City and utd look li,e top 2 but cgelsea look like theyve hit form with their new players now and are classy.

Spurs away form is maddening. At hone they are not right yet but away they are winning. I had hoped we would be up there with them or in front now while they got used to Wembley. We need a win now just to keep up.

We got 7/12 in first 4 with is "ok" to be around 4th and thus far we have 4 out of 6. If we win tomorrow we can say we got 7/12 min again... the issue being first block I would ignore the city game but we dropped 2 to Watford late and we've dropped to a bang average burnely side.

If we can tick along at 7/12 while we get the team shape and focus sorted we can hope to improve. For example after 28 games we were on 49 points so with 10 to go from there you can get to 70points. Ideally at some point we beed a good run in there to add 4/5 more points to be on 54 with 10 games to go.

Sadly, that harder run turns up once they have got lots of points on the table already and have high morale.

Think we will be fighting for fourth, if we have a few lucky breaks. Defence is far to fragile at the moment to expect anything else. If we got a decent centre back in January things might improve.

Bad news: City will be over the hills and far away by Christmas, good news: Chelsea won't be - they're catchable for Top Four, definitely more so so than City, Spurs and maybe Uniturd (though we'll see when they actually play someone).

We're nowhere near the title, when you look at the level Citeh are playing at and frankly after the money spent they really should be head and shoulders above the rest.

I think Manchester city are the most likely to win the league.
