Only saw the 2nd half, but it seems they were demolished
    within the first 20 mins.

Davies just seems to be getting better and better (DOF beware) .
Alli was an utter passenger that half IMHO, and I am getting
sick and tired of the diving antics (Bale mk II) .

And Sissoko : typical he scores that faffy goal when he had the
far better chance a couple of minutes before. :)

  4. Bit late for that one, I think, mate!
Other than purely for rotation purposes, its difficult not to think that Ben Davies provides a more complete LWB package. He's always probably been the stronger defensively, but his forward play is now excellent - scoring and creating assists on a regular basis.
And a clearly decent professional off the pitch too!

Neville + baby Redknapp doing the weekly Kane
sell in the Sky post-match blurb.

Keys + Gray + Souness + (world class) Dennis Wise
    likewise on Al-Exile TV.

  6. Actually, Neville after the match was strongly insisting that DL wouldn't be letting Kane go anywhere for at least the next 18 months.
Redknapp on the other hand was continuing to spout the long since disproved 'sold all your best players' narrative, but drawing a blank after 2013!!
    Twat of the first order!

    Easy win.
You can do no more than comfortably beat these teams.
This game in April when they are desperate might be a different kettle of fish.

A round of applause for the Huddersfield fans for applauding Kane when he was subbed.

Not quite in the class of the reception the West Indies batsman Lewis got when he was
taken off with a fractured ankle after scoring 170-odd at the Oval the other day -
    that was pure classy sportsmanship!
But it came close, given the different atmosphere at football/cricket. Well done them.

0-3 after 23 minutes to me was a great opportunity to shrink the goal difference between us and City/Utd which is why I'm disappointed that we didn't.

If we double the Mousers' GA column next month, I'm sure 90% of football fans wouldn't complain...

    I'm quite happy with that.

Can't see City losing any of their upcoming fixtures and Chelsea have Palace next and what should be easy wins after that. But after a defeat who knows? We have Liverpool and Utd after Bournemouth so the odds favour Chelsea moving above us.

I think I may have watched a different match to some people here today. I watched my team play an excellent match, they won the game in the opening 30 mins then they played with a great deal of control, and having won the match took the opportunity to not waste energy in a week where 10/14 players who took the field today also played a significant part in winning a champions league match that was away in Cyprus on Tuesday evening. Our control was such that our Goalkeeper was not required to make a meaningful save once we were ahead.

Totally agree with many posters about Dele, the diving is a blight that he must eradicate and although he still had some good moments today we do need Son and hopefully soon Lamela pushing him for a starting place.

I think like everyone else I have run out of superlatives for Harry (K), I even expect him to score his one on ones now, and today when he took the first with such aplomb I actually laughed at the simplicity of the goal, not an emotion I can recall having to us scoring a goal on a regular basis, and something that I am a little uncomfortable with in a Spurs sort of way. As for Ben Davies he was also different class today, and would have been my pick for MOM what a great start he has enjoyed to this season. And well done to Moussa Sissoko a goal in what was probably his worst game of the season so far, but hopefully the goal will increase his confidence and with the improvements in his performances so far that may be a very good thing.

Better than pretending he was fouled and expecting the pundits to agree with him...

I'm going to stick up for Jilted Jamie here. As I understand it, he said it how it is, which is that if we don't sort out our wage structure, then it is inevitable that top players will leave. We've seen it in the past at our club and at others. We simply can't continue to progress as a club whilst our current wage constraints exist, because players will leave. Money talks, and that is what Jilted Jamie is being realistic about.
