We're the only supporters in the country who don't see a trip to Stoke as the ideal Saturday entertainment? Hm.
Not even the Stoke fans look at going to a match as entertainment. Watching a team kick and bully the opposition has never been much fun. Strange that Stoke are reporting that we haven't taken up our allocation but from where we stand it looks like we virtually have, still we will find out tomorrow
Yeh I know that, but if he was North West, Carlisle is 134, if he was North East not many people live in that zone between the Tyne and Berwick and Newcastle is only 138. So we are further away than him, as I said I should think Stoke is one of the best places to live if you want to go to a whole season of EPL away games and travel less Someone should do a league table, maybe they have
Having driven from Southampton to Aberdeen several times in the 70`s in a Hillman Imp, a trip to Stoke seems like a trip to the shops. I`m going for a 2-0 Saints win for no particular reason.
Looked it up now, Longton Rugby Club, Sir Stanley Matthews Way ... so windy last time I was there I had trouble opening the car door !!! ... if I'd parked the other way I reckon I would have seen the door flying off over Stoke 2013 Begovic goal game
Charlie can run??? and Pierre beat Cedric !!! Either our fitness levels are improving or they're all knackered by Saturday
He (Charlie) doesn't seem to be able to in the matches. Not sure whats up with our Charlie at the moment as he just doesn't seem interested and looks like he hasn't recovered from his mid season break
Sure was - I dare not go over 55 mph ! Imps had an aluminium engine, and prone to damaging the cylinder head if they overheated. if you did it once, you didn`t want to do it again.
I don't think I'd fancy it in a modern car tbh, just the thought of hitting Yorkshire and being just about half way, **** that.
Respect! I once did Southampton to Plymouth in a Robin Reliant (I think it was A.Ball's debut for us), interesting trip. We need to score at least 2 goals tomorrow as Crouch will lurch from the bench to score another against us.
He's probably feeling similar to Gabbi, but with less gametime. Must be incredibly frustrating to be a striker at Southampton over the last 12 months.
Listening to everyone moan about a trip to Stoke, it's hard to believe we were a country full of adventurers who circumnavigated the globe Sir Francis Drake: Come, lads. Off to the Caribbean for Good Queen Bess. Saints fan: I hear it's a bit rough. And will we be back for tea?
I find it weird that I am actually optimistic about this game....that is practically unnatural! Perhaps it's because I will be in Rome and not peering over the back of the sofa.
We have to put up with watching in a sports bar on Nusa Lembongan how hard is that? Have a great view of Mt Agung ringside seats if it erupts. We're well outside the exclusion zone no warnings for here. Thoughts go to friends in Karangasem area, local people relying on government aid and worried about their homes and businesses. Spare a thought for those less fortunate than most of us
That's not a bad guess at all. I have loads of work to do, so obviously I had time to find a website where it could be worked out then put in all the current PL grounds and came up with this result. The green marker is the spot in Britain that has the shortest overall sum of distances to all the PL grounds. Blue marker is Stoke's ground. I knew there had to be some reason to live in Stoke. Now all I need is a way to avoid work for the rest of the afternoon. Vin
In recent years, our results at Stoke have been fairly decent, so I too am feeling optimistic. If anything we play worse against them down here, than up there.
