We love the best idea and the best moments of it. I have said several times in the past that I could drop football in a heartbeat. It is SFC which is under my skin. When we nearly lost them in 2009 I was more than ready to let football go. I would have had zero interest without their participation.
I hear that. Was on the Sunderland board yesterday, Ellis Short has done a deal with loan company which puts their stadium, well you know. That club is in serious trouble, they can ill afford to fall any further. It feels like all the safe guards are to protect the very rich investors, and nobody else. So very sad.
Hey, anyone watch Carrier bag V Roma? I think Stuart Burt is running the line. A linesman has just given an offside from a pass from the corner, I **** you not. Players didn't even dispute it.
Straight from the corner.? I'm still trying to work out who Carrier Bag are without looking it up. Is it Serie A.?
I note that Virgil predicted that Liverpool would win the CL....which got the fans excited (though he did add...or Manchester City).
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...r-League-clubs-embroiled-1bn-TV-cash-row.html There is an argument brewing within the EPL about division of foreign TV money. The big 6 (or usual suspects as I like to call them) plus Leicester, Everton and West Ham favour a share based on league position....and not the equal amounts as at present. I can see both sides...top teams don't need the money (greedy bastards) but, on the other hand, European TV money is largely generated by them. Leicester, Everton and West Ham obviously feel they will gain by being on the coat tails of the usual league leaders. So far there isn't the majority needed for a rule change and there is a fear of a breakaway group....as I said....greedy bastards.
Yes it was. A club who had never been relegated in their history up until that point, before being relegated by committee. With the recent annoucements, several clubs have been effectively relegated. Yeovil for example claim they need to raise £350,000 by November while Sunderland, a team who won the former WPL National Division like three times in a row before being admitted into WSL2, then fighting to get promoted into WSL2, are also claiming that this new announcement relegates them. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...will-be-relegated-in-fa-restructure-1-8775173 Basically the only way clubs can survive is being bankrolled by the men's side and what happens when the men decide to cut costs and so stops funding the women's team? Sure, the Man City's and the Chelski's can just keep bankrolling their women's team because money isn't an object to them, but clubs like Yeovil and Birmingham live in the real world. This whole model seems about as sustainable as a chocolate kettle. I have no love for the WSL, it's elitist as heck and causes a divide between the have's and the have not's which is ridiculous while the WPL is exploited for their own gain... but even I feel for those WSL 2 clubs who had the ambition of promoting being told that the way is shut after just one game of the season. Ironically, the way the WSL2 is being shafted is similar to the way the WPL was shafted in about 2013, complete with a name change/re-branding to designate it's inferior status to the WSL1. Except with the case of the WPL, the clubs managed to get FA to reverse on their renaming decision. Honestly, women's football deserves a much better custodian than the corrupt and greed driven FA.
http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co....sensory-room/story-30523065-detail/story.html I saw recently that Saints had opened a sensory room for fans on the autistic spectrum without knowing fully what it was. Here is an article about Watford's similar room which has proved a success. It would be helpful if the whole stadium could have calming lights during matches.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...edly-has-left-his-role-as-bayern-munich-coach Bayern Munich sack Ancelloti.
Ridiculous sacking. Easily in the top 3 managers in the world imo and not many out there really. Poch? they'll probs get that young guy from Hoffenheim. On another note, @The Ides of March what's going on with Bilbao tonight? Got them in a bet and their losing at home to Zorya
Anyone watching Arsenal? Bate just had a great chance to make it 4-3, Arsenal were 4-1 up but still 4-2 and looks like there's more goals here. Arsenal looking like the inexperienced side that's out there at present, could be an interesting ending.
