I've never said we deserved to win the league in either season. I'm just pointing out that we are getting points more consistently than anyone else over a long period which may be an indication of how good the team is. Of course in the end it won't matter if we can't turn it into trophies.
A long period of 2 years . Why not make that a long period over 3 years? or 4 years? or 1 year or a premier league season
Do you really think the best team wins the league, the second best comes second etc. The real world doesn't work like that....
Mate you can spin it however you like. You only win the premier league by being the most consistent team over the course of the season. You don't get any trophies for pretending to be the best, having the best net spend or winning the most corners.
I've never mentioned trophies. You don't think luck or bad refereeing decisions affects the number of points then?
So what is your point exactly then ? Yes bad luck and ref decisions can affect the number of points, but they haven't affected any season to the degree where it's handed somebody the title.
When there are fewer than five points between clubs over the season there is a chance of about a fifth that luck affected the result. There have been many seasons when the margin was less than that.
It's just speculation though. You could argue that the team that wins it also had their share of bad luck and poor ref decisions throughout the season.
So whats your excuses. 11 points and 7 points suggest luck didnt play a factor in you being the best team?
