Can't see Spurs paying that. If they did the the likes of Alli, Eriksen, Lloris and Alderweireld will be knocking on the door for their increase. Hell, Alderweireld is already knocking isn't he?

    yes they would.

So my view is walker and rose are the tip of the iceberg there. They have to keep ahead of the posse by getting in players like tripper, and others and sanchez of course.

Alli will be off. IMO Levy has been getting him a new contract virtually every 6 months to keep the length on the deal and he has taken it but a time will come where he won't sign anything anymore. LLoris IMO has settled already, Alderweireld is for sure has 2 years left. He is 28 now so really the issue is will anyone buy him off them or not. He SHOULD be able to get a good deal if he does go.

Kane is a homeboy. If he settles and gives spurs the power then he could find himself stuck there or even find players bought in in 2 years time are on higher wages

I believe Alderweireld is on 50k only. lloris is on 80k, alli is on 50k.... there must be huge incentives in thier contracts for getting cl etc as those wages wouldn't even get spurs a championship player :)

I think its below average from prem player.. .and all those are top prem players IMO.

I do think Kane and Alli put Spurs on the verge of something great (in terms of their history) if they can keep them. Those two would attract others to join imo

Yes they do. Add eriksen to that and its quite good

They remind me a bit of LFC under Rafa.. they have almost a full team, just missing really wide players as I don't rate son at all (head down and shoot man)

spurs have a good defence, very solid CM dueo and then the front 3 are good. They lack a player like mane wider, real pace and the fear for them is getting stripped as you allude to.

the question has to be: If Alli wants to move (rather than clubs really coming after him) then he has to run his contract out but the gobshite signed a deal out to 2022 so he is STUCK (oops and other van dijk) Kane is also signed to 2022... so al lthe power is in spurs pocket there.

    eriksen is 3 more years.

for me... well... its about the stadium. Levy might be looking at that and not paying these guys any more and they could just walk into a period wher eit goes wrong.... OR they could get that one more player and poch wins something finally.

Kane appears to be a home boy, sure Spurs can match his wage and ambition

Not sure what it is with them. Maybe its their lack of key replacements. I kind of think its down to Pochetinos conservativeness. I think they find it hard to break down teams like yourself when their wingbacks aren't on it.

You can blame the wide players but Pochy is playing 3-4-3 nowadays and in that formation the wide players are the wingbacks and alli and eriksen are undroppable.

He always plays 2 CMs (dembele/Wanyama with Dier/Sissoko/Winks next in line). Even when he goes 4-2-3-1 theres only a spot for 1 winger (son) as he will play eriksen and alli.

Maybe its the lack of a killer sub but if he gives Llorente a chance he will produce (quite rate him). Its hard to put a finger on why they are so close but haven't won anything but their best chance was this year (or last really) except now they ruined it by moving to wembley as i believe this squad is at the peak of their play before all the key components move on.

Alli is defo ****ing off, he binned his agent in the summer and is being courted by both Mendes and Raiola.

Kane will stay for at least another year imho.

I think Alderweireld will also go next summer, as they won't pay him enough.

    I think

    a) bit of pace issue. kane and eriksen are average paced. really good at what they go. alli is not a winger. he is a CM being pushed forward.

    b) Yes he is going 343 (following the trend more than being creative) but you then hit the issue in A again. Contrast pedro, hazard costa as a 3 to kane, eriksen alli. theres pace i nthe cheslea line up. AND then contrast two actually full backs pushed to wing back to a winger being a wing back.

I also agree on that 431. It would be alli or eriksen pushed wide and AN.OTHER winger who they don't have.

    c) I agree on killer sub, my view is NONE of thier reserves are as good as the first 11 and those front 3 and alderweireld are utterly irreplaceable.

    d) I agree on that CM pairing too. VERY solid but not got an eye for a pass. theres nobody play making deep.

IMO they are better than us so they will be firghting with us and arsenal for 4 and should be favorites for it.

If they end up any higher someone's side broke badly. (as in you IMO)

I agree on Alli but who will buy him with 5 years left and a 200mil fee? (levy will ask it imo) Is he showing enough to Real thatthey will come for him or is he really trying himself to get out.

I agree on alderweireld but spurs might just decide to run it late and hold for a year.

Kane is stuck. I can't see anyone again ofering the fee. who will come in? not utd. not city... not chelsea... real? doubt it. not barca. so who will pay 150mil for him? (again levy will demand it)

Levy has done what southampton did to van dijk. he offered fast deals to resin and a pay rise and they both signed.

alli will struggle to get out imo. Spurs will have to do something in CL for this to happen or <laugh> england will have to show something at world cup o_O

bang on about Alli. He is stuck unless he turns himself into someone that one of the big clubs will pay for. I'm not sure that will happen unless theres a rich club desperate enough for a marquee signing.

I reckon they'll keep alderweireld down to his final year. The markets gone so crazy that Levy will think it is worth it as theres not much of a dropoff in the transfer fee of a super quality player. Sanchez 60m, Injured barkley 30m or whatever it was we were offering. Especially when you think the wages are so low and if he can help them get champions league

Yeah I think unless someone goes mad and bids 50mil or something alderweireld will be looking at a one last so tract scenario to get a big pay day.

The Alli thing really his down to he can do what he likes but he has yo make a leap to justify the fee. Bale.... wellllll.... I'm not sure he did or not but the thingbis it's now 200mil type fee isnt it.

Can alli justify that off what he has done?

"This is United's 21st campaign in the Champions League group stage, and only four times have they failed to make the next round.

Two of those eliminations came in their last four participations; they finished third in their group in both 2011-12 and 2015-16, their last appearance."

They(you know who)failed to add that they've only won it twice.<whistle>

"Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho tells BT Sport: "This is just the second match against the team that is probably in the best position from all of us. They won the first match away from home. If you can qualify before the last match it is great.

"Ander Herrera is a player we entirely trust. He had a fantastic season last season and we have had a winning team this time, he has had to wait for his chance and he know this is about the squad. With injuries, he is in the starting line-up.

"I did not analyse Spartak Moscow's game against Liverpool, I saw it for a few minutes. I do not know if Liverpool dropped two points or won one. This is the best CSKA I have faced. I played against them for Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea and they are a dangerous team."

Getting his excuses in just in case it goes tits up, but none of the journo's has the gonad's to call it.:emoticon-0100-smile

Jeez, CSKA are worse than Spartak, but that pen was a terrible decision by the official behind the goal.

The fifth officials have been useless, like last night when our corners 'went out' while still in flight despite the replays showing they didn't.

Only saw the penalty decision once, looked like the defender got the ball clean and Mikatranny went over the defenders leg afterwards.
BBC and Sky both saying it was a definite pen, so I must be mistaken.<whistle>

I am still unsure on Kane, I would rather have Lukaku in my team tbh. He is a brilliant finisher, a Shearer, Van Nistelrooy, but he is nothing like a Suarez, Drogba, Ronaldo, Lewandowski or Messi.
All the plaudits he is getting, just watch how he is for England and leads a woeful line next summer.
