This is funny, well I think so. Dropped my oldest of at Uni on the weekend did most of his stuff in one go. He rings me yesterday.

"Can you do me a favour?"
    Yeah what?
"Can you pick my bass up from the garage?" (Where they practice, not my garage)
    Yeah no problem.
"Can you post it to me?"

    I was pissing myself laughing.

Chin up my friend and positive..

Need to keep it that way, got two lovely girls here that have been somewhat miserable, maybe sensing my inner anxiety..

A smiley weekend ahead, no matter what, the things I need fixing will wait for another day, I'm going nowhere though, I'm damn sure of that..<ok>

    You ok my friend?

    Thinking of you mate.

I'm all good. As you may know my situation took a turn about 12 years ago when my little lad came along so had to quit work etc and work for myself around his needs.

Things looking up to the point I applied for a job today. Its back to the beginning and a low salary but if it works out hopefully can work back up again. But if not I don't stress about these things anymore.

We are all fighting something in life, each other, wars, discrimination, or just the basic fact we wonder what it is all about..

I have fought so many battles in life and will need to fight so many more, no god is ever going to help me, just my will to become over it all..

There's an old saying, if it's worth fighting for then destroy what stops you doing it..<ok>

I think the women are better at this stuff than we will ever be. My girl was born mild cerebral, she has achieved so much in her life since then, even in the darkest days she will always smile her appreciation and then her body fell apart. After 8 years of sharing my body with her and bringing up our daughter, I do think hidden depression and carer's burnout has 3-folded my problems..

You don't realise it at the time but inner mental exhaustion is a killer in itself, you can see why a lot of long term carer's flip, commit suicide or just give up..

Coming from such a lucrative lifestyle and career back in 2009 to where I am now has taken it's toll financially and emotionally. I would do it all over again though simply because I have never experienced so much love that I get from my girls..

My girl set me free 3 years ago to do what I needed to do beyond our relationship for sexual gratification, she will never be able to be a part of that male hormone now. I have never sang the song for her yet through total respect but when a woman loves you that much then it's time to appreciate love at it's finest..<ok>

For mine it was breast cancer - very
aggressive too. Even now she has to take an anti cancer drug, and probably will do for the rest of her life. It's affected us both mentally as well as physically. My natural reaction is to love her and protect her, but how do you protect someone you love from this evil disease? You just feel so helpless sometimes!

I can believe what you're saying about 'compassion fatigue' my mother is very elderly and very hard work at times. I've recently spent a week there and it's exhausting! She's my mum of course and I'm always there for her. But I get what your saying.

I wish you all the best my friend. If I were religious, I'd pray for you. But I'm not, so I'll keep you in my thoughts and wish a brighter future for you.

Joe as an aside quick, I know you're relatively new on this board but I've been conversing with you for a couple of years on the Sunderland board and just wanna say I ****ing love reading your posts.

They're generally one of the highest quality on here and one of a few who writes posts which I never skim read, seem like a real top bloke too.

    Keep it up fella <cheers>
