Seen as Dio's arse couldn't do us a favour last night as he wasn't on the bench it looks like its going to be a long, hard season. Think mid-table is looking optimistic at the moment. We don't seem to have a clue what our best team is and how we are meant to play. Second half was better but still not good enough. Bowen is a great player and we will be lucky to keep hold of him unless we start pushing up the table.
Our corners are always bad but last night took it to another level , Dawson and Hector kept making signals to Grosicki , which he took as float into the space absolutely nowhere near us , then the one when we just rolled it to them was the icing on the cake - comical
did anyone hear the press confrence that humberside tweeted out? Towards the end some guy asked about turbo and said he was the best player in the 2nd half when he came on. WTF!!
We run out of ideas when Campbell goes off, needs another player upfront with him to help him out so he isn't shattered and has to come off
Nailed it. Of the Chelsea players Tomori is the only one that looks to have anything about him in a defensive capacity. Hector - How many goals has he cost us? He's awful defensively, Aina - defensively atrocious and that brings me on to Kingsley - the worst defender I have seen at the club for many years. I'd like to see Mazuch next to Dawson. Hector needs leaving out. Said it again, I'd be scouring the unattached players list. But as each game goes by I'm adding to our required list. We need an experienced right back, an experienced left back, an experienced centre half and an experienced hold the ball up centre forward. We then might not look like a team destined for relegation. I wouldn't be bothered if we sent all 3 Chelsea players back, wasting squad numbers except for Tomori.
i cant remember the last time playing one up front consistantly worked for us, we've never had a midfield behind him that breaks quickly enough to support him or a midfield that created enough.
two strikers also causes more problems for the defence, a lot harder to mark 2 than it is 1 obviously
Lots of apathy about the city at the minute. Was just on site and speaking to the owner of said site he asked if I was a city fan etc. He said he hasn't gone this season for the first time in 30 odd years and next year is going to go to the rugby instead.
I'd drop Aina & Hector, recall Mazuch to CB and move Temori to RB McGregor Temori Dawson Mazuch Clarke Irvine Meyler Larsson Bowen Campbell Grosicki or go 4-4-2 same back four but Bowen Meyler Larsson Grosicki Campbell Dicko
I'd play your second option but with Irvine for Larsson , needs to play the 2 up front together , see if they can link up
I realise I’m clearly in a minority, but I’d gladly welcome it if we didn’t see Grosicki in a City shirt again. He’s not a team player, he adds little value and he’s frankly not that good.
