They make wine at a vineyard within walking distance at Frithsden, a bit too expensive for my common taste.

“Our economic prosperity will suffer, jobs and livelihoods will be put at risk, and with them the security and peace of mind of working families. If we don’t make a success of Brexit, we won’t have the financial means to fund the public services on which we all rely."

I can understand and agree with that, so walking away would not be a good option.

Who said it? The Prime Minister. Of course she might have had another of her famous U-turns.

So what do you disagree with from your leader? You do not say.

Ah another election for a Tory leader as she is desperate to stay in office and knows she made all those promises about getting a bespoke deal. It could of course suit the government as it would stop talks and buy a few more weeks before they have to agree to what they already know they will do. Best bet would be to get a new leader who asks the EU if they would mind if the UK withdrew that silly letter they sent.

No chance, all of the Conservatives believe in democracy. You are getting mixed up with the eurocrats who disregard the views of the people.

Not really as most people no longer wish to leave the EU according to all the polls. Democracy isn't democracy unless people can change their minds. David Davis

Strange that you cannot deal with proper democracy, just come out with another trite response. Of course we will watch with interest what will happen to the legislation as it tries to go through both chambers at Westminster. There is a ground swell against this mess which could of course erupt at the Tory party conference.

You have come up with about 15 barriers to Brexit so far that have failed to materialise, bound to be a few more of your damp squibs. :emoticon-0136-giggl

The Home Office is still sending out letters telling lawfully resident immigrants in Britain they must leave the country, a month after the home secretary had to apologise for “an unfortunate error” in mistakenly informing 100 EU nationals that they faced possible deportation.

The Home Office had to issue a further apology on Monday to a research scientist, who received a letter out of the blue on Friday telling him his driving licence was being revoked and he “should take steps to leave the UK immediately”.

With this sort of thing going on what confidence can EU nationals have about the ability of the UK to get things right. 3 million living and working in the country, yet this sort of nonsense continues. Still no idea from the government what they are doing. Amber Rudd seems to be following in the footsteps of her predecessor, hopeless.

Read around a bit more and you will see that even the most ardent Brexiteers are losing confidence in the shambolic government to deliver. It has been hard for some of them, some still blame the EU, but the real fury is being turned on the Tories.

There is certainly more realisation that the EU negotiators have been instructed to make sure no progress is made so it ramps up pressure. Time for the UK to walk away from this charade.

Shame really that some people in the UK believe that because they want something they are entitled to have it. Life has moved on, and there is not an Empire any more. There is a good example of what being outside a proper trading agreement can mean if you look at N. Ireland and the fact that thousands of jobs are on the line because of dodgy subsidies. Life is so simple if you believe what some would tell you, whereas the opposite is true.
