KWP, GKN or even Georgiou on for Trippier at HT please. Not having a go at Kieran as it isn't his fault he's being played out of position (again), but the vast majority of Apoel's chances are coming down Aurier's flank so it would be nice to be able to play football out on the left.

Get Trippier and Davies back in position. Trippier's in poor enough form wihtout playing him on the wrong side and Aurier's struggling defensively so get him further up where it's not such an issue. Get Sissoko off, he's just a body on the pitch. With APOEL maybe looking to push forward, either GKN or Georgiou could do some damage on the break or we could get Llorente out there to busy the centrebacks.

 

I wonder if he's still getting booed by what passes for their 'fans'?

Nice to see Redknapp still referring to us as "we". Gave us some great football and memories.

 

Half our best XI missing and is it showing, missing all of them in different ways, but Vertonghen and Eriksen the most, maybe Toby and Dier should swap as Toby has been our best passer but is having as bad a game in defence as I have seen him have. Not sure what changes we really have available other going to a 4 and bringing on Llorente.

In other news, Besiktas are currently doing a number on the German wing of the Red Bull empire, which I'm finding rather enjoyable for obvious reasons...

 

We're clearly struggling with an unfamiliar team and lots of square pegs in round holes - like Sissoko being on the pitch, for example. Winks is giving a good account of himself though which is good to see.

Agree with other posters, let's have GKN on the left soon and punish them on the break.

 

GD doesn't count for much as it goes to head-to-head results if you're level on points and if we're level with APOEL then nothing matters and the World is a pit of darkness.

Would be nice if we got a few more and gave a few players a run out whilst giving a few others a break.

Sissoko is at his best when the ball gets stuck between his feet but he carries on running. Gravity gets him through.
