A sensible and intelligent question Eire... We played a high level game against Sunderland and Forest, we edged it against Ipswich, who are more stubborn than Sunderland and Forest, I reckon we raise our game against bigger teams, so am going for our win by a single goal, but wouldn't be surprised if we got a 2 goal cushion. It'll be tough if both teams are on par, but I reckon we'll nick it.
P eople seem to forget, when winning the championship last season, the barcodes lost about ten games. Presumably didn’t play well in those games. Safe to assume they weren’t outstanding in their draws either or probably some of their wins. No team in any division steamrolls everyone they play or perform at their peak week in week out. If we’re to stay in the autos, we’ll need many narrow battling wins from now till May just like the Ipswich game. We’ll have far more of those performances than Burton type ones
hmmm, understand where you're coming from ... last night I listened to Tommy's post match interview on Radio Leeds and he said the exact same thing when questioned about Wiedwald ... Tommy made it crystal clear that he was very unhappy about the Ipswich player being allowed to get in behind the defence in the first place ... I will nit pick a bit further and ask why their goalscorer was given the freedom to stroll into our box and knock in the rebound, because Phillips should have tracked him ... it's easy to single out Wiedwald, but there were bigger issues that need fixing and I have no doubt Tommy will go through these in detail with the lads as they continue to learn and improve ... btw, none of this means I'm right fcuk the Bermondsey Tossers Radz is God
Morning all. Isn’t it a grand old feeling actually looking forward to Leeds games rather than fearing the worst or damage limitation jobs.
spot on ... great to see Tommy is challenging his team to go into the international break still top of the league rather than the usual "we'll take what we can get and go from there" nonsense ... Leeds are going into the Cardiff and Wednesday games to win, and that's exactly the right attitude to display if you want promotion ... for example, Barcelona, Bayern, Juventus, these clubs go into every match to win, nothing less ... to get out of this challenging Championship this is the mentality needed, and Tommy is pushing his squad to think and behave like winners fcuk the Grimey Cnuts Radz is God
Once again, safe trip to all travelling fans this evening. 7000 away tickets have been sold according to Facebook, amazing support for a Tuesday night, 8 hour round trip.
i want to win every game too none of this playing for a draw ****ttte.saying that i feel there is a time in the game to open things up especially away at teams like Cardiff.so tommy needs to get his selection right and make sure we plug those gaps we had on Saturday.ipswich goal in front of kop a header was a joke no one marking him.other goal phillips was wondering too far forward so a word needed.another big game for our coach to get right.we can beat wednesday they remind me of graysons team when we had lots of forwards and no defence.
excellent point wakey about Wednesday being "like Grayson's team" ... very astute, and looking at Wednesday in the Steel City Derby they may well struggle to get top six with that kind of defending fcuk the Bermondsey Bandits Radz is God
Should make for a rocking atmosphere, let's hope the game lives up to it. Actually I don't care, let's hope the game results in a Leeds win!
Old enough to remember when we were the first time (just). Cant believe Colin is capable of doing the job he is doing. Helped set our club in a spiral of anti football... Cant stand him.
to be fair, that applies to a lot of people, it seems Imho it was Bates who was the main culprit, bringing him in for a year - so that's a clear invitation to the manager to be short term and look for immediate results - hence he brings in browneh and co Though I agree, warnock did not have to take the job given those terms
Here's hoping TC sticks with Hernandez, Saiz and Alioski, it's working since he brought Hernandez and Saiz in team, even though Hernandez gets subbed occasionally. Shouldn't change something that works for our team.
Got to call you out on this one, Billy. Phillips was (successfully) marking his man on the ball-side edge of the 6 yd box. It was Hernandez & O'Kane marking the 2 in the middle. O'Kane did his job well(ish). Hernandez did bugger all (again!). He never reacted at all when the striker moved away from him, and was behind him to start with, which is a football 101 no-no. As I've said before, he has no place defending set pieces in our penalty area - he's more valuable on the halfway line, as someone would have to be pulled back to mark him. That way he's be 100% effective in preventing one of their players from scoring. Simples!
