Hurrah, my techy nephew was over from Ireland and he came and fixed his Auntie's printer and showed me a few quick fixes. Bless him, he thinks I will remember them after he has left my house.
Get him to write them down so that he hasn't entirely wasted his time and just been pushing air through his larynx..
Was it any good? I decided to watch Electric Dreams: Impossible Planet instead which was pretty disappointing.
It was ok. 90% of twitter doesn't get it and I think I sort of get it, but it wasn't a very satisfying watch. Found myself thinking wtf is going on for the most part. I thought from the trailers electric dreams looked like a tv show that you just knew wouldn't be very good so was not really interested.
Cheers, I'll give it a watch when my internet is able to play anything over 360 bloody p. Electric Dreams was OK but not really worth watching. Decent enough acting but overall it felt flat and dated.
There's a brilliant programme on iPlayer about the 1981 Le Mans. It's the most 80s thing ever, and great as a result. The drivers are fabulous and just remind you what a bellhop people like Hamilton are.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/magazine-41391844/why-is-africa-building-a-great-green-wall An interesting project to plant a wall of acacia trees across 11 African countries to hold back encroaching desert. Senegal has already felt positive effects of the tree wall with improvements in food production and water supply. Good to hear a positive story with long term benefits.
Been watching some Alex Honnold videos on Youtube after he free-soloed Yosemite's El Capitan earlier this year. I can't seem to find a decent video El Capitan so I'll post his free solo of El Sendero Luminoso in El Portrero, Mexico. It's a few years old now so apologies if it's already been posted.
Found out today that my cousin has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and even if she has chemo, she has no more than 12 months to live. Life is so **** at times. She's in her early 30's for ****s sake.
