Yeah, one £10m sale funds it for 10 years, or provides Allams with return or their investment to keep them here.
First I’ve heard you mention this. Any experience in taking penalties? First team could do with some coaching if you have.
The Venkys are worse. Not that these things are quantifiable as they can only be measured subjectively by the extent of a supporters anger. I defended the Allams for longer than most, and believed their reputation was salvageable right up until Bruce resigned. Since then, Ehab has been on a mission to actively piss off the core supporters. Also, it's clear the Allams are making sure they have taken back all the money the club owes them - with interest - before selling up. The Allams have turned out to be a pair of petty, vindictive twats, but we have enjoyed the most successful period in our history under their ownership - not a record you would usually associate with the epithet of 'worst owners ever'.
The 'core supporters' being those like yourself, who derided their fellow fans that took issue with the Allams since the name change? I think you'll find the real core supporters stood up for what they believed in long before you changed your tune.
Well I have to admit that there is quite a bit of buzz about this. The gym, this morning, was quite breathless over it, I heard quite a splash in the pool; it was positively sizzling in the sauna, but there was far more than hot air in the steam room. Some fools were talking about administration, but others, more sensible, were talking about a return to the '3rd division'. An interesting early morning session...
I live too far away from Hull to count myself as a core supporter, and get to see too few games. That said, the first match I attended was in 73, so I'm not someone who started supporting when the KC was built. I found it difficult to get worked up about the name change plan, mainly because I never believed it would be allowed - and I don't care what they title the clubs Facebook or whatever, it doesn't affect me. I don't know why people get so wound up about it. I used the term 'core supporters' to indicate that I think Ehab takes pleasure in pissing off the most significant section of the clubs support; those who would still go if we were in League 2, or even worse... Ehab is the kind of thin-skinned egoist who would be irked by the crowd chanting for him to **** off, and now he is taking his revenge.
That we have been so successful under their ownership doesn't justify their behaviour. It does, however, make me less inclined to take any notice of them. I'd rather that than have an owner who gave every supporter a gold watch and a token for a free blow job at the same time as we were battling relegation to the Conference.
Ask one of these two, I'm sure they know, intimately. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
