    Good job it's just a few thousand fans who have to avoid hooligans for 2 nights

    Not like we're months away from hundreds of thousands of fans travelling for a month long international tournament

    Oh, wait...

    I'd have loved us to sign him but that's a lot of money for someone that is 28 or 29 now though #noresalevalue

    You buy players to help the team, not as a high interest ISA <ok>

    No, Man Utd do. So do Chelsea, Man City, PSG and any other team that likes to throw money at the problem

    Ahh I see, the clubs that you name buy players to improve but others just buy investments.
    That makes a lot of sense when you look at the achievements of the respective clubs over the last 10 years.

    Of course, they just don't give a **** about the risk aspect because they've all got money to waste

    So achieving success, winning trophies and extending the fan base around the world, thus attracting more sponsorship and merchandise money is wasting money?

    But......over the last 10 years have the mentioned clubs almost gone out of business due to their unscrupulous owners?, have the mentioned clubs had to start from scratch with new owners that tried for their first few years to run all aspects of the club without having a clue about the English game?

    And yes I'm aware of the Glazers take over of Utd, but they took over an already stable and successful club from Edwards, if you reckon those events never had a negative effect on LFC you must be Diego Hicks-Gillet I.

    <whistle>

    And immediately saddled it with £600m+ of debt. The fact they have tripled the value of the club whilst cutting the debt down to £230m, increasing capacity at the ground and never denying a manager the funds he needed is testament to their business plan both on and off the field.
    Most people know that to grow a business investment is needed.
    I would have thought with the supposed acumen and wealth of FSG you would be in a much better position by now, unfortunately it seems they just see you as a cash cow to help build their bank balance or fund other interests.
    Where has all the TV and sponsorship money gone over the last few years, certainly not on transfers as you have broke even mostly on that score. Big stand was built on the strength of a loan (from the owners) so no investment there (this could have been paid for by FSG as buildings are not counted in FFP calculations).

    Ah, so you're agreeing with me, yes our owners have still got a lot to prove as to their investing in the club in all aspects, as for the "cash cow", don't think they take an equivalent of the money the Glazer's rake in in from utd, yep Utd can afford it blah blah blah but as FSG is not a family but a group of investors drawing comparisons is a waste of time really don't you think.
