Theres been nothing wrong with Ston play this season, until they get to the final 1/3. ****ing genius comentating..not
man city and chelski running riot at the min ... mind they should they have spent millions and millions and millions and millions ...so why does the bbc mention how good they are etc ... fooking hell its expected. anyway ha way the toon
I'm probably just lazily stereotyping but I still think City will struggle when it gets a bit cold and rainy and they'll finish behind United and Chelsea, though I hope they win it. Can they do it on a cold, Tuesday night in (insert grim northern town here)?
I'd say the top 5 of the league looks sorted more or less as it stands..even though i've got us down to finish 6th..with us playing 38 'away' games
Okay. So, other than City, United and Chelsea, who do you see as being better than us? Please don't say either Arsenal or 'Pool, because neither of those teams have any where near the strength of our squad.
I think Pool will finish above you. I agree that I don't see their squad as stronger but they've not got the Wembley factor. Arsenal also don't have the CL to contend with this year so 6th is very much a possibility as I think you might get through your group this year. I think you underestimate the Wembley factor.
They never finish above us....well ok once..when they had Suarez....and with their defence? Their defence stays with them 'home' and 'away'. We are playing brilliantly away from Wembley and i can see us sorting Wembley out somehow. I've got us down for 6th too...but thats because i'm humble. Bets for bantz? Pool to finish above Spurs?
'Pool will not finish above us. They are far too inconsistent. We will get stronger, they won't. I think 3rd and 4th will be decided between us and United. City will pip Chavs to the title. 5th and 6th is between 'Pool and Arsenal, and I think 'Pool will be marginally stronger.
So if you think you will finish 6th who do you have down as 5th then? They are quite inconsistent... as you have been so far it's fair to say no? When you have a player like Mane in your team though you always have a chance. I agree you could well get stronger but don't think you'll get anywhere near the levels of consistency of last year. Disagree about your top 3 too. For me the top 6 will be split into two groups this year: Manc clubs and Chelsea will make the top 3, with United winning it. Then your lot, Arsenal and Pool battling it out for 4th. Arsenal may actually be in a good position due to no CL... it's still quite early I just don't fancy you lot this year. A lot could depend on CL / Cup progress tbh, and results against each other in the top 6 mini league... not had many of those to go on yet but history suggests Liverpool will fair well in those.
All bias aside, one has to look at this objectively and dispassionately. We have arguably the strongest first XI in the league. Even if you want to dispute that, you cannot deny that we have one of the top 4 strongest squads in the league. This Wembley "hoodoo" talk is sheer bollocks, and is going to be used by the media to put us down. We could go on a 9-game winning-streak and when we lose the tenth game those Sky/TalkShite/Daily Mail ****ers will pipe up with "the Wembley hoodoo strikes again!" bollocks. Those of you who properly understand footy and who have more than a mere scratch 'n' sniff knowledge understand exactly what I am saying, and you know I am right.
