Members of the Sissoko fan club look away now...... But WTF!! He's clearly trying ok, but appears to be totally disconnected from the rest of the team.
2-0 HT. Not the best performance, but we've dominated possession and chances. Kane blowing away another one of those slight marks on his record. I think that the Antonio injury really disrupted them, but I'll take that.
Pity that Hart saved Dele's effort before Kane's 2nd as the build up between Eriksen and Verts was brilliant and would have made a potential for GOTM at least.
Happy so far dele and harry linking up well erickson pulling the strings all I want now is a sissoko screamer to hit the back of west hams net. COYS
I've seen a few comments saying that, if the Scammers brought on Ayew for Antonio, they could have kept up the way they were playing - but by going for the safe option and bringing on the wife beater not only slowed down their play but they also changed their shape, and once hernandez was moved to the left Verts was free to move forward more.
Fair points - particularly Noble, but his passing is so inaccurate and things happen around him rather than through him. Need him to be more direct at times maybe?
Poor passing's down to only having Dier in midfield so the ball has to almost always go further. to get the attack going. Drop Eriksen in deeper for the second half and then get Winks on. Very good first half though. Getting the first goal in fairly early makes such a huge difference in these games. Now we've got all the cards for the second half.
Humerous moments of the half..... Spammers fans giving Spurs players the finger and 'hand-shake' when taking corners and throw-ins. Something of a wasted effort as would only be visible with binoculars!!
Defence has been excellent but "rash" is definitely the way to describe Aurier. I like him but he's fortunate not to be booked and is making some poor decisions. He's still putting in a lot of good work too, it's just something he'll need to work on.
I just hope Bilic doesn’t get sacked after this. That would end what could be a very good start to the weekend.
I am not one of Sissoko's knockers and I happy with his contribution in this game with a couple of defence splitting passes, but we do miss Wanjama. As well as we have done we have still lost out too many times in midfield or is the Hammers midfield one of the best in the league? Surely not!
We were so sloppy before we scored the first goal and we finished the half totally dominant. Even when we arent playing well we keep it tight at the back and dont concede. More of the same 2nd half please Spurs.
