There is no point in having any discussion with you. You're just a typical Leftie, who only see's what he wants to see. I told you why I have the confederate flag in Leeds United colours and I'm not going to keep on trying to explain.

The vast majority who died for the flag were at places like Gettysburg and Bull Run and they were by no means all racists ... the KKK started out as the Knights Of The Blue Camelia and only really hijacked the flag to goad the esblishment after tbe war was ober ... nobody complained about it when the Dukes of Hazard was prime time iewing in the UK back in the 1970s ... driving around in 'General Lee' ...

Am not even trying to troll you, simply stating facts - growing up the confederate flag was just a symbol on top of the car from Dukes of Hazard to me and my generation but now it is a far right and pro Hitler symbol.

If you are actually ex-miltary, I would think twice then being associated with that lot but is no skin off my nose.

That war was only a couple of years. I wonder if in the succeeding centuries have more people died from the KKK and other far right groups that since used that flag?

Anyway I only knew it as the symbol on top of the car from Dukes of Hazard - it isn't that now though is it.

Has gone that way of the swastika - for 500 years, give or take a century, it was a symbol of peace but the actions of the past 80 odd have warped that completely.

My recollection is that the American Civil war was one of massive casualties ...

Just checked ... more Americans killed in the Civil war than in WW1, WW2, Vietnam and Korea combinef ...

Just had a look and that flag is actually the navy battle flag
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flags_of_the_Confederate_States_of_America.

Kinda strange how it became so popular rather then one of the actual flags but was probably the easiest to make as all of the white cloth was used for robes and hoods.

Not much else that we can say tbh:

Us: Leeds are a fallen big team
Leeds: We are in the rise and you will fall

    Etc.

Am looking forward to seeing the greatest goalkeeper of all time Andy Lonergan though.

Your facts:grin: Let me tell you, you'd be surprised how many former and present military servicemen are quite non PC(let me put it that way). Have you not listened to anything I've said. I'm not political, I'm not associated with any group be it right or left. Everyone is racist in one shape or form IMO. Anyway I've stated in my earlier comments what the flag means to me.......<ok>

Am just going by what you wrote - you didn't want to be associated with Hitler and the swastika but you are with that flag whether you like it or not.

Either way like I said it is no skin off my nose.

You are associating yourself with your avatar.

This is boring now as @MIAMI_FOX had so eloquently put it - back to the football.
