As a 'appy 'ammer Mrs W_Y dislikes the smelly one's as much as me!

AK - I am on missionary duty and I have sworn to bring the light of the world to the heathens- so I will continue to deliver the word of the lord to the poor souls, even though they have no appreciation. My dear old Mum will be proud of the good works I am carrying out..

OFH, some Yorkshire people actually believe "Yorkshire" is a country. A while ago I had to help close a division of a business based near Sheffield and a number of people were being made redundant, so there was loads of form filling. Behind me one morning the following conversation really took place.

Clerk : Excuse me ...... the form asked for my nationality.
Supervisor : Yes, just put British.
Clerk : But I'm from Yorkshire!
Supervisor : Yes, but what are the other options?
Clerk : Asian, Black ........, but there's no Yorkshire.
Supervisor : Don't worry, just put British.
Clerk : Yes, but I'm from Yorkshire.
Supervisor : Yes I know, but it's part of Britain, so British will do fine.
    Clerk : But I'm not British .........

At this point I turned around, as you can only stand so much .......... confusion.

I repeat that conversation actually took place, it is etched on my memory even though it took place 5 years ago!!!

There are plenty like that down in Cornwall. They have a special flag, their own language and even call it Kernow. There was also rumour that a group pf people who wanted to make Cornwall a separate country.

I have read and taken note of the advice given by the Meteo.

"Meteo France warned the public about the risks of dehydration, especially for children, the elderly, patients, athletes or people working outside. Symptoms of heat stroke is a fever over 40 ° C, skin hot, red and dry, headaches, nausea, drowsiness, thirst, confusion, convulsions or loss of consciousness . If there are orange alerts to heat waves, it is recommended to drink 1.5 liters of water per day and cool by wetting the body several times a day. Seniors are encouraged to avoid going out between 11 hours and 21 hours."

I will be firmly attached to my computer this afternoon, so will not be going out. The words from the above that particularly apply to me are, athletes, people working outside, thirst, confusion and loss of consciousness. <laugh>
