I think since the lack of due diligence when Ashley bought the club he has exercised much more caution, who can say how good his business accumen is with regards running a football club, it''s too early though I feel where we finnish this season will make up our minds for us.
There is a huge lack of communication between the fans and the board, this is creating a mistrust and dislike for the board, we need more than the prematch press conference to instill confidence.
Look at the QPR situation, Tony Fernandez their new Chairman and majority share holder did a great press conference yesterday along side Warnock, if I was a QPR fan I would be feeling very optimistic.

QPR have had their share of problems, but seem to be on an even keel now and going in the right direction.

Spiteful? And yet the op is an idiot....

Ashley is bad for our football team. If you can dig up the sbr quote about what is a football club the fat man has no interest in any of that, just money.

Whats the point in us doing good business in our outgoings (35mill is ridiculously good business and anyone who says they wouldnt have sold is stupid) if the money isnt reinvested in the team though?

All I would like to say is that we tried paying the massive wages for well over a decade, caving in to players demands, and we achieved nothing at all then.

SBR was a man from another era - That quote is (sadly) outdated and irrelevant in the modern football world.
If the money is being reinvested in the club, to decrease debts, go towards wages, etc. then it's being used properly. He could've thrown it all down on players, and put out a great team each week. The problem is that they're all going to need to want money to play, and that has to come from somewhere.
