I do like Arsenal despite being a Saints fan...

I would opt to buy a more British team. For example either Gary Cahill or Phil Jagielka would be good.

    A goalkeeper definitely is needed.

Personally I wouldn't change much... I'd just want to make it more British with a few more experienced players rather than signing untried teenagers <ok>

Too easy to hate on Arsenal at the moment.
Bring it on wums - Gooners will be revisiting this thread to rub your noses it in when your predictions of doom go up in smoke <ok>

I'd move back to South London, and sign Wenger to a lifetime contract as manager/defence coach

Seriously though, I do hope Arsenal can mount a challenge as it would be pretty boring if we had a 2 horse race between United and City (I'm a United fan by the way). Also, of all United's rivals Arsenal are the ones I like and respect the most.

No need for a keeper. Chesney will be a class act. Better than De Gea anyway.

For now I would rate them the same. Both keepers will be class in the future though.

Are you crazy? De Queer has made screw up after screw up. People are calling him Man U's Almunia. Szczesny is a good, solid keeper, with the strong likelihood of becoming great.

Two mistakes when he has only just joined the club by moving to a new country and is learning the way of the PL and let's not forget that he has just turned 20. Szczesny has also made mistakes as has every young keeper learning his trade (remember the criticism Casillas received when he was younger).

I refuse to write off such a young talent after 2 competitive games.

arsenal have 1 aim in life, arsenal board i should say

top 4 finish to ensure the money roles in, as long as wenger ensures that he is safe

I have said it a thousand times, the ownership at arsenal are screwing the fans.

Trophies is not high on the agenda.

last season was a very successful season for arsenal owners, they got to th elatter stages of all competitions and have made a fortune from selling

Professor wenger is the best, yay

They will do **** all with Wenger in charge <ok>

The trophies he won were with teams that contained several key players he inherited like Seaman, Adams, Bergkamp etc. He has failed to replace the back line - is it coincidence that now the team contains only his signings they have won **** all?

It's just gone stale at Arsenal now.

All their best players have left or are leaving and they're being replaced either by teenagers from our club or with foreign imports that have never kicked a ball before...

Wenger only tries to keep the books balanced which nowadays, you cannot do that and expect to win a trophy...

They need ENGLISH players in their team.
Adams, Winterburn, Keown all won trophies for them.

    Arsenal are powerpuff.

I would've signed Joey Barton as soon as Newcastle listed him. Lassana Diarra also looks like he's available if you are willing to stump up the cash Madrid want. Those two and one of Wilshere or Ramsey in centre mid would have a lot more bite and give the creaky defence some respite.

I would also get (Gary) Cahill in regardless of how much they want. I would've signed Shay Given, but now he's at Villa I'd go for that Russian lad Akinfeev. Recall Carlos Vela from Sociedad and start playing him on either flank in a 4-3-3 formation, rotating with Gervinho, Walcott, Arshavin, etc. Sign Leighton Baines for 1st choice left back. Get Samuel Eto'o as he looks like he wants out of Italy and RVP only plays 25 games a season.

    Job done.

A lot more solid, 3 more English lads in the first team, covers some of the obvious gaps.

It'd cost about 80 - 90 million I reckon, but they have just got best part of 60 if they sell both midfielders...
