Do you reckon? I think PL teams have only been in one round so far? Or maybe two. I think Brentford away is quite a tough one tbf, they're not a bad outfit these days.

This is a great result and things are looking up touch wood

So nice to have a little run in the Cup, and a great little practice match against another Championship side.

Thanks for those FML. Highlights here - http://www.skysports.com/football/brentford-vs-norwich/384186
Great FK from Super Mario for the 2nd and Josh took his goal well.

Slowly but slowly, DF is getting the team to play as a team and get the results.
This from Paddy's pointers - "High standards - Daniel Farke strode into his post-match media conference with the air of a man who feels he is getting his message across, after an understandably difficult opening phase to his Championship baptism."
Read all about it - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...-s-3-1-league-cup-romp-at-brentford-1-5201653

"So let's embrace the fact we’re on a proper cup run and accept we’re on an upward curve that will, at some point, suffer a blip."
I was thinking pretty much the same as Gary said in his column and it seems as though those who doubted DF's ability to turn around the fortunes of NCFC by using 'cheap (or free) foreign imports have suddenly disappeared (or have stopped complaining about it!!)'.
The players seem to be beginning to gel as well and I was impressed with the team selection for last night's game and as you and others have said, Trybull COULD be the signing who makes our season!!! <ok>

Edit - at least the draw for the next round will be held after the ManUre game tonight and I'd like a home draw and don't mind who our opponents are..

Mulumbu left (and was pretty average / gash anyway) so we were left with Tettey and his ageing knees. So uncle Stuart not only prises Reed away from Southampton to cover, but also unearths another unknown German gem.
Regardless of Farke's desired style of play, in the grind of the championship it's important to have a midfield one or two screening the defence - especially in our case, where some of them have only played full games together 2 or 3 times <ok>

I know many of the posters on here complained that our midfield was too light in the early games - hence the number of goals conceded!!
Let's hope we can now push on and add to ur 'goals for' total.

Maybe the players are getting au fait with the style DF wants to play, but also I think he's modified his demands and aspirations a little based on the drubbings at Villa and Millwall - he had to do something! <yikes>
So he now plays a far more 'championship' than 'Bundesliga' type of game, which is a better fit for the players at his disposal, it seems.
Proof, to an extent, is in the last 4 results - W,D,W,W <ok>

I was one of those unsure of the quality of our new players, but they seem to be living up to expectations now. Trybull seems to be a natural replacement for Tettey in the long term, with a better all around game and Reed fitted in well alongside him. I'm still not sure about the defensive side of Vrancic's game, but he was excellent in attack, as was Watkins, confirming his abilities as a 3rd striker option. Much is also due to the formation switch and Husband played much better with more cover from the midfield pair. The attack was also very sharp with 6 of 13 shots on target and 54% of the possession. Things do look promising now!

Agreed Rick and I think one of the lessons DF has learned is that in the Championship, it's better to play '4 at the back' especially in away games.
It took Wagner some time to get Huddersfield playing how he wanted them to!!!
