If someone looks like their 30 but is 16 is that more sick than someone who is 25 but look 15. In japan the legal age is 13 which seems horrendously low. I just think we live in a ****ed up world, where peoples thoughts are more reality every day. Girls in say, certain Asian and African regions at 16 are a hell of a lot more mature than typical European and western white girls, their upbringing and culture have contributed to that. I agree with you, but I don't think that we should make it illegal or anything. One issue is clearly the mixed up approach to adulthood that we've currently got in this country. When does someone become responsible for their own decisions? At 16 you can have sex, get married, join the armed forces, leave school, live on your own and pay taxes. You have to wait another year to get a driving license, though you can use a 50cc moped. Then the year after that you can vote, smoke, drink and watch some films. Where's the thinking in any of that? You can have sex, but you can't watch people having sex on film until two years later? Pick an age and say that people are adults when they reach it. The current mishmash is nonsense. Or in some people's cases on this thread, nonce sense.

If the 19 year old is doing it willingly, and as an adult, has proper understanding of what she is doing then it is her choice. If she's forced into it.. No not good. But if willing... Fine. The 15 year old is not an adult and thus not able to give willing consent. 15 year olds are not mature. They don't fully understand the consequences of their actions because they lack life experience. Although in full admission I think many 19 year olds are a bit immature too and age should probably be higher. Obviously 19 is better than 15 though.
For me a 19 year old is as mature in the way they have been brought up and I am talking morals and principles here and the values they hold for their's, their siblings and their parents life as well as their openness to the big wide world.. I won't include 15 year olds though, they are young, easily influenced and should never be considered as an object of any mans desire, their lives are about to begin, any man that ****s with that deserves to be well and truly ****ed over..

Very true... Although a great many 19 year olds are not very mature. For the record my wife was still only 19 when she got engaged to me. Saying yes is proof she couldn't have been mature. (I proposed 3 days before her turning 20)
