Felt sorry for Gazza when he got a lot of stick at SB one season playing for Boro. Song was just "you're just a fat effing has been" but it was sad.

Heard that LFC sung some nasty songs about Lee Carsley's son having Down's. Dunno if it is true, but that crosses line big time

They used to sing about Dion Dublin having a big cock iirc, only Dion was indeed hung like a horse, as confirmed by a number of his team mates.

Unfortunately yes it is true, his kid was Down Syndrome.

 

It's no different to singing about Jews having big noses and Chinese people having slanty eyes, it is racial stereotyping and therefore has no place being sung in a public place.

The Park song was quite funny. And probably more offensive to scousers than it was to Koreans (if that's what Park was).

Saints once got reported to the FA for chanting "shoe, shoe, shoe bomber!" at Spurs striker Ahmed Mido, but he really was a ringer for the bloke who tried to blow up a plane using his foot & a box of Swan Vesta. It's not offensive to me in the slightest, but I can see why some would find it so, especially the Park one, as it's derogatory to a Nation, his Nation. You'd have to ask him what he thought about it. I doubt he cried himself to sleep like, but I'd wager he'd have preferred a ditty in his honour that didn't reference his nations eating dogs.

 

Mate, if you come from a country that eats dogs, & you play football in England, you are going to get a song to that effect. In fact if I had been Park, I'd have been offended if someone didn't mention eating dogs in a song about me.
