no I'm predicting it on the basis of the fact that it was EXCEPTIONAL LAST YEAR, plus we look like we couldn't defend a a castle from Don Quixote riding a 3 legged mule blindfolded.

We play utd shortly... that'll be fun. then we play spurs.. again that should be pretty cool. games to look forward to but entirely unpredictable. YOu you think we can take 20 points again
putting it in context when our 2013/14 season happened with suarez and no defence.. we took 18 points. We hammered utd who gave up arsenal who were shell shocked and of course that amazing 3-2 v city. We tonked spurs as well... that was our best season led by suarez and an amazing run we had. I think we all greatly enjoyed that run.

18 points... not 20. that puts the top 6 run we had last year into context.

What I just said BTW is its possible for LFC to just get 14 or so and get the magic 70 points. just win 3 more and draw 2... we have 4 home games left in it.

Yes, but we were the better team, we were giving as good as we got and I'm quite confident (not that it matters now) that we would've found some goals with Mane & Salah taking advantage of all the space afforded to them.

 

We are no worse at defending this year than any other year under Klopp. We had a superb record against the big teams even in the Europa under him. Its not a coincidence that the high intensity pressing works better against teams who commit more men forward and usually command a greater share of the possession.

 

That's true, against teams that don't defend your attack look great

 

Don't put your own team down mate, I'm sure you try to defend, its just hard to when you have the likes of Phil Jones at centre back.

I just think it's worse personally. Think the door is even more open at the back.

 

Not because of your defence, you have no midfield at all just auxiliary attackers.
Last year you had Lucas who could come in and sit in front of the defence, now when you lose the ball In the attacking 3rd the opposition is straight through to your back 4 (or 2 if the wingbacks are forward).

 

Klopps record against big sides in previous year was just as good though. The 5-0 is a blip based on previous meetings against them all in his ear and half.

There are 20 teams in the league, performing well in cup finals (not literally obviously) does not win you anything apart from the "we did well against the top 6 trophy"

 

But we're talking about his record v top 6 so what's that got to do with anything
