It's very simple lads, Vettel was not looking where he was going, he was simply not aware that Kimi and Max got a better start and Vettel through his lack of observation forced the incident, totally Vettels fault. He drove into them.

yes yes, yes, we all know he's German and you don't like them, how many times did you complain about Hamilton driving across people at the start. none wasn't it?

Vettel does not have eyes in the back of his head, and is not responsible for what's going on behind him. There is a 10% case for saying in moving to cover Verstappen perhaps he should have considered that Max might not be the only car there, but realistically he wasn't to know that and you can't race with quite that much "what if?". Max and Kimi were in his blind spot.

So while his move, which was never a chop, arguably caused the chain reaction, you couldn't realistically have expected him to avoid it.

Perhaps you would have been happier if they all set off behind the safety car & Trundled around for a few laps ? I actually feared that was what was going to happen .

They went racing , fair play to them for that .

It was a racing incident , end of !!!

The only criticism I have of Vettel is perhaps , just perhaps , he could have let Max go .

He is no threat to the championship & if Kimi had got passed , I think we all know he would not have stayed there .

However in Vettel's defence , he is a RACING driver .

:emoticon-0182-poolpRacing drivers have even more reason to know what the f--k is going on around them as in, ahead, right, left, behind, you never know there may be a car or cars there.

Hope to Christ I don't meet any of you lot on the M6 on a Friday night. <party>

Vettel is a proven erratic bad driver as we have all witnessed.

Fortunately my car doesn't have protective sides that are higher than my eye level, as that means I can check my blind spot unlike F1 drivers. Also, I tend not to race anyone on the M6, let alone at 150-200mph. How you can even think about comparing the two I have no idea.

Very sensible, perhaps you should coach Vettel on how to be aware of whats going on around you.

Ern... can't tell if you're being serious or just trying to yank Miggs chain.

All three were racing (rare thing for Kimi these days) and it just didn't work out. Vettel was simply defending his position the same any other driver would.

I honestly don't have a problem with the three of them going for the racing line....after all it's a race not a Sunday drive. The problem I have is that Vettel knew the other two weren't in the championship fight and he was racing Hamilton. I think I would have been more concerned about where Hamilton was on track and finishing ahead of him than the other two. I am sure with race strategy the team would have engineered to get Vettel, their championship contender, back to the front. And, as Max said pre race, he is going for it, he has nothing to lose. Vettel would have been better served to just tuck in behind Max, but keep Lewis behind. I think they might have had plans to try block the Red Bulls, but it didn't work the way they intended. I don't think it was anything deliberate, but Vettel could have played the long game and maybe he would have been a few points ahead in the championship. I am still waiting to see Ferrari's pace in a full wet race though.

There's no way he'd give Max that position he was ahead of him.

There's lots of ifs, buts and maybes. What if he gave up the position, finished third and then missed out on the title by a couple of points? They're going to try maximize every result, and with Hamilton down the road a little, yesterday was the perfect opportunity to do so.

    Back at Uni?

Lad is so poor he has barely enough spare cash to pay for bag of potatoes each week, let alone an internet connection.
