Exactly they are more interested in conflict and petty squabbles than the interests of the club. Appalling
It would seem that something caused this investigation of the circumstances, through cctv and anecdotal comment. What is available to read says more about betrayal of trusts than anything else. It's sad and stupid. This is only a guess, but I think something happened when the Allams were reviewing ticketing options that unearthed historic piss-taking. These guys lost their jobs, some lost concessions and others are lumbered with the membership (some have reason to like it). I think I know who I feel sorry for.
It's fully understandable really . I mean tickets are that scarce to get your hands on so every one is precious. PS I ain't taking the pee out of you Fez.
How so? The submission is so ridiculously huge I haven't really had time to read it and flicked through the odd bits. I read the original stuff from the pair of grass lovers which made the Hickson, Clark and Enob look a bunch of useless twunts.
In life, if you only flick through the odd bits and need posters of a football forum to explain what is written, you are bound to never know the reasons why.
I used to be a circuit judge but had to step down because I could only be arsed to listen to one half of the case and I was so naïve I believed every word they said.
City and SMC statement on state of penalty spot almost laughable. Especially picture #2! That wasn't obliviously done this morning by someone from the office! https://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/articles/2017/201718-sunderland-h-pitch-statement/ please log in to view this image
They have a point though....2 sets of match officials wouldnt have allowed 2 different games to go ahead if there wasn't any markings for a penalty spot If that is the marking though then they should be highly embarrassed
Basically the response from the SMC says working as a kitman for Hull FC on a match day without written permission was a fundamental breach of contract. The breach of contract applied to both the employee working without permission and the supervisor who knew it was a breach of contract and allowed it. After the disciplinary hearings they concluded the two groundsman were dishonest in their explanations and this represented a fundamental breakdown in trust. Therefore the sackings were justified.
I seem to remember in the Groundsmens' defence document that an agreement had been in place for years that hours were flexible and that this enabled the 'kit man' role to be done in lieu ?
"We are disappointed that some people have chosen to question the work standards of our staff without being properly informed on the situation." Are you really? Who can blame them? The club is a shambles from top to bottom. Incompetent absentee owners, falsified attendances, ticketing and turnstile 'improvements', bogus security threats. Nice to see the club can get shirty about the important stuff like penalty spot markings. Coming soon from John Fieldhouse: 'From bust to boom..to bust again'
Its part of the contract of employment and is covered in the SMC submission. The SMC claim the groundsman didn't have any hours in lieu to take.
If anyone ever needed any proof what an utter **** Ehab is then this case demonstrates it perfectly. These two men have dedicated years of the lives working for the clubs they love and now they are unemployed because some jumped up little prick has got the hump. The alleged indiscretions could have been sorted with a formal warning, even just a polite word, but no he has to sack them to show how powerful he is with Daddy's money behind him.
It's obvious they forgot to paint the markings after the last rugby game and made a hash of it when they remembered. If someone had made a conscious decision to mark them as hollow rather than solid circles then some sort of template would have been used so at least they looked professional. From that photo it's look like a six year old has done with a bottle of tip-pex
This is brilliant. The fact they take to their website to publicly argue with a local journalist over the quality of their penalty spot markings is just so incredibly petty. It yet again shows what a small and weak man Ehab really is. This totally insignificant piece of criticism has obviously really upset him when it wasn't even intended to do so. He's so mad he's even forgotten to pretend that the SMC and HCAFC are totally separate bodies with their own hierarchies. He seems to be really struggling with a lack of control lately. Alienated by daddy, hated by everyone, still falling out with his staff. But he can take comfort knowing that he's really told that meddling journalist.
I suspect you are right and that it was painted this morning, probably by Ehab with his box of crayons. Usually the grass is cut after the game or the next day, so probably the penalty spot if there has been one may well have disappeared after cutting.
