Utter bollocks, Syd; nothing flippant about it, as you have just repeated the same ****e.

Of course Dawson will lose personal quality in his physical play, but his football brain is as good as ever. Once again you have totally ignored the absolute ****e that the manager gives him to work with. It's quite obvious you think he should make a silk purse from the sows ear he has around him.

I think we have the worse defence we have had available for a very long time and no amount of tweaking will improve it to where it should be.

Dawson might have lost quality, but you are very wrong in blaming him for the collective frailties of Slutskys mistakes.

That just means they were poor, too.

So you confused his personal game with the bad tactics of Slutsky and are not prepared to put your hand up to it. Daft lad.

For me the easiest way to sum it up is that Meyler is the closest thing we've got to an Ashbee. Lots of effort, passion and a true pro, not the most talented on the ball but by no means useless.

I believe he's the best defensive midfielder we have and for that reason should be starting every game he is fit enough for.

I'm hoping Slut has finally learnt this from yesterday

Aina and Hector and Kingsley would make anyone look poor at the moment. Let alone Dawson, who is a box defender and needs to play deep as possible and not 1 on 1.

You didn't give up the argument at all, you simply used a dismissive reply that tried to make you look hard done by. Grow up, Syd, it's a forum for discussion, comment and reply; it just so happens that on this occasion (I've defended you on others) I think your thinking is stupid; basically because it is.

And I think Dawson has made a number of quite simple errors that simply aren't good enough. You think differently. That's fine. We all have opinions as you said. Which is why I left things there. You just seemed to have a need to jump in with a pointless put down after the fact and carry on with things.

I've always said that Managers shouldn't wave at the crowd because they should be concentrating on the game

If he stops waving he'll turn it round mark my words...

If you really think Meyler just 'runs around a lot', I'm afraid you just don't get it. I dont thnk any of his admirers think he is a neat and tidy player, but his effect on the TEAM is almost always positive. We play further up the pitch when he is in the team - simple. And this has been true for the last 3 seasons.

    Okay, let me help.

You have switched to personal errors (above) from his leadership ability (below) which is what I took you to task on.

Which do you wish to discuss. Don't go for the latter , as I wiĺl simply repost my responses, because you are confusing two very different aspects of his game. If you go for the other one; personal errors, then, to some degree, l will agree with you. Personal skills is down to him and time (as you pointed out), leadership issues are, in this case, down to Slutsky.

Don't play the hard done by, because you do this far too often with too many posters. <ok>

I don't think Sluts has got a clue who is best players are...or the system to play ..I fear a few more hammerings, before he gets it sorted or he's up the road..
