Stroll in the points again, had a fairly innocuous start to the season but finishing in the points in Canada seemed to give him the confidence to compete. He's been good in the wet, which I always think is the difference between the good and the great.
I wonder if this will finish under the red flag ? 20 minutes to go , and they have not even got to KM's car . Scratch that . Just realised it I had it on pause while I made a drink
I'll admit I'm a massive fan of Hamilton but he's really driving is some of the best of his career imo. I've noticed of late that some people I know who hate him as a person are finally turning because of his recent showings...
I really really rate him as a driver , but I think he's an utter twat as a person , but no way do I hate him .
Fair enough. For a long time many people on forums and my fellow f1 friends couldn't see past that no matter what and I've seen a change this year... Perfect example is him getting the official DOTD award recently.
Red Bull have been really disappointing today. Ricciardo has been completely in Lewis's pocket all race.
He is polarising that's for sure! Driver of the day = DOTD Vote after the race which is basically a popularity contest.
So titles basically over for this year. Have to say Hamilton deserves it more. I think Ferrari would be wise to get Verstappen or Ricciardo in for 2019. Right now i rate them higher than Seb.
Palmer did well, but Hulk would have got 4th, so lets not lose our minds over it. The Renault is quietly becoming a good car.
I work out it's a net 11th. 6th + the 4 at the start & hulk. But still, he got points and seemed to lose all his time relative to Hulk during the pit-stop window, I think he was 2nd last to change, before that he was about 4 or 5 secs off (that said, SC etc.). As to the Renault, it's scoring points more regularly, against the customer cars, so let's not lose out heads etc.
