I'd, say 80% vettel 20% raikkonens fault tbh. Though the spin after was 100% vettels... Unless suspension damage?
Vettel may have just ended the season. Needs a DNF for Lewis now just to have a chance. What a stupid move.
He was definitely the cause of his own demise. Took out two other potential race winners as well. Such a shame for the race.
Not sure it's that clear, will have to wait until the stewards have seen all the data. Ultimately the leading car is entitled to move over as every pole sitter does. Don't think he jinks, looks like a progressive move and the contact looks like Max tagging Kimi's rear who then hits Seb.
Race over. Season over. Crown Hamilton now. My prediction max would hit someone came true. I don't think you could call it really his fault alone though. It was very tight and he got squeezed.
I think it just one of those things, maybe Max could of yielded to Kimi earlier and avoided contact, but that's a tough call within 25 meteres of the start. But on the flip side Max is involved in a lot of contact situations and I thought Horners comments after Quali was inappropriate myself.
Nothing Max could do. He had a run on Vettel and had no reason to yield. He gets some stick, but in this case Vettel squeezed him into Kimi and the pit wall. If Vettel keeps his line, they would all still be in the race.
It's not like he's done something no one does, in fact they pretty much all do that. does no one remember Rosberg and Hamilton having their cars aimed at each other on the grid? The 'problem' was Kimi nailing the start and putting himself between Max and the wall as Seb was moving left, just as Max realises Kimi is on his left and moves right.
Massa needs to go to spec-savers, already hit Vandoorne earlier under the SC, which brings up this question: Ricciardo overtook Hamilton on track under SC conditions Massa hit Vandoorne under SC conditions Which one gets the 10second drive-through as per Baku?
No excuse for Bottas to be so far behind Hamilton and Ricciardo so far. At least conditions like this separates the greats from the very good. Yes, Hamilton is at the front but should Ricciardo really be 4.46 seconds behind Hamilton in a car better suited to this track than the Mercedes?
Massive freebie for Hamilton here, whether he wins or dnfs. Impressed he's pulling away from Ricciardo, thought Dan would be nailed on for an easy win with no max or Ferraris. We'll have to see when it dries out.
