not sure where you are going here tbh I am agreeing with you re evolution having nothing to do with the beginning of life the word athiest is A for no and thiest for god so 'no god' so godless so again agree This is the first i have heard of the Rise of Islam Site in all honesty and i have never heard of Adnan Oktar I tend to keep away from certain 'lets prove this or that' sites I do know though that in terms of Islam, there are many 'scientific' questions that the quran answered over 1400 years ago that science found out in the 80's and 90's Its like scientists who argued that every action has ........ this is ying and yang in its true form so religion and science not as different as peopl think just people have a lack of knowlkedge in the first place (generally) To disprove anything you have to know that topic imo people who 'poo poo' christianity, often dont have a clue about it imo
hhmmmm inciteful care to elaborate on those points I have made professor Hero? or is the classic specialneeds kid in a mainstream school, who cant keep up therefore resorts to misbehaving
Don't bother he never said say how he thinks my point on Islamic terrorists perverting their religion is wrong.
You haven't heard of the Rise of Islam site or Adnan Oktar? Strange, because if you Google either of the Collapse Of... suggestions that you made earlier, then it's the first site that comes up. Perhaps you know Oktar better by his pen name, Harun Yahya? None of the supposed scientific revelations of Islam have any basis in fact. They were either already discovered or are highly biased interpretations of vague scripture, in my experience. I often find that those who criticise Christianity have a better knowledge of it than the average Christian, to be honest. As you say, in order to say that you don't believe something, you have to know something about it in the first place.
I think that many people are so brainwashed regarding religion and religious texts that they are either afraid to, or don't know how to question it/them. The facts are that all religious texts have been written by, and adapted and changed over the centuries by man. For me, there is no harm in believing in a God, but the belief should come from the heart and not from a book, or worse, a preachers interpretation of a book...
George - If a religion isn't made up of the Holy Books, the followers, the religious leaders and the places of worship, what DOES it consist of?
How do you decide if somebody is perverting their religion, anyway? If a Christian were to start stoning adulterers, for example, wouldn't that just be following their religion?
I would add a note of caution when it comes to believing in your own abilities - for example see Hitler and Stalin
I remember being a kid and my parents filling my head with nonsense, like Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy etc. Well now that I'm older I don't fall for that **** anymore, thank God.
