Well beaten by Sevilla?, the scoreline flattered them mate, and City had to beat us on penalties after extra time, in both games we weren't well beaten but we lost. Worth noting we "well beat" Utd and a couple of better sides than them on the way to the final.
Pretty much wasting your pixels KS, every time a goal is scored against them it is poor defending never great attacking, when they score a goal it's sublime attack play never the opposition defence at fault. Blinkered thinking means they never get well beat, just have bad luck or a scapegoat
Mané is definitely our best player and crucial to how we play. Salah is a very good deputy though and Coutinho was valued over £100m this summer. It's not like Mané is a one man attack. (I'd rather lose Coutinho than Mané) Sure Mané is very important, all teams have a talismanic figure they would be worse off without. Nothing unusual in that.
You know, I'm not at all superstitious or believe in jinxes... But I think @astro needs to use a different word now to criticize opposition. Mug is too tainted now.
Klopps 100% loss in finals isnt quite true, he won several early doors, it was only his last couple at Dortmund he lost. He didnt leave Dortmund at the bottom of the table either, they finished 7th that season where everyone thibks they nearly got relegated. Rodgers success was solely on the back of having one of the best ever players in the form of his life in Suarez. Who was accompanied by a Sturridge who was the fittest he has ever been, who combined scored over 50 goals in the league. Klopp has us close to that with no big big stars. Coutinho isn't the world class player he and Barcelona thinks he is, plus he played under Rodgers anyway. Mané may become a top top player, but too many foot to the faces is holding him back currently...
Amazing the comparisons between Klopp and Rodgers. Take Suarez out of that team and we were average. The guy is world class and produced one of the best seasons in PL history. The guy equalled the record of number of goals in a season and he was banned for the start!! Klopp is slowly building a challenging team - he started with the attack which is very good. We really needed Keita this summer but he's secured for next year and we should have got VVD. As long as we remain in the hunt for top 4, we will continue improving the squad because we are signing very good players.
Am i the only one who thinks Matip needs to be in a back 3 so there is a spare man to cover his wandering off tendency. Or play him as the DM
I've said before that Matip should be a squad defender and not our number one. We really need two new centre backs in January.
