I disagree. I think she showed glimpses of Morgan but if I had to liken him to any other player in the league it would be Pogba. Far more all action than Morgan. But the way he reads the game and commits to tackles is very Morgan like.
One swallow doesn't make a summer (not talking about the other subject on here ) but he does look, very, very, good
Lemina is a handsome man, but does he quite have the loveliness of a Morgan? On the other hand, he is in a Saints shirt....always a beauty enhancer (providing you are not Ian Dowie).
Morgan and Wanyama, what a combination. Romeu and Lemina, many a club would envy that. Big test next week and we will know more after that.
According to Wiki he's 5 6" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Davis - Short arse useless little runt! lol
Got to agree with you here I always wondered when Morgan was going to step out of his comfort zone and control a game for us. He was very good but I always thought he could be great Lemina wants to boss things
I note on the highlights reel that the person writing the subtitles couldn't bring himself to mention Virgil's name. Tadic was subbed by V.....verucca, Vim, Vaseline, Vimto?
Do you think that Virgil watched us playing, from the subs bench, and is starting to realise that he may not be as essential to us as he thinks he is? (Not that we are going to sell him, for any Liverpool lurkers)
I hope it fired him up. He must have missed playing through injury and then idiocy. A confident player (which he is) will be fired up by seeing a good defence and thinking how he could fit in and improve it. He must fancy playing next to Hoedt (who got into the Netherlands team instead of him).
So what's going on with Redmond? Was so hoping he'd step forward this season but zippo to date & hes been really crap in the last two games. Of course all our AM's have been lacking but IMO he's been the worst. Personally I think he needs to be dropped for a few games & if only be used as a sub. Maybe with the pressure off he'd regain some zip & confidence?
Watched a recording of the game last safe in the knowledge we won. My thoughts: 1. We played much better this week but other than our goal; Palace created four good chances and we created little to compare which these, so more work to be done in front if goal. 2. Redmond looks like he has zero confidence at present. 3. Lemina looks total quality in the centre of the pitch and relishes being given the ball. Breaks up play very efficiently; reminds me alot of Morgan. 4. Davis looks more assured further up the pitch than trying to play a pseudo-DM role at least he looks to get the ball forward. 5. Full backs were very solid, so too the CB's; good distribution from the back by Hoedt - looked very comfortable on the ball. Probably helped FF turn in a better performance. 6. No brainer VVD was to get a turn. 7. Tadic turned up for this game; nice surprise. Bigger test next week, but with a stronger looking midfield and Pogba being out: looking forward to watching that game; no more 6th Birthday parties thank you!
I see Redmond very much as a confidence player. His confidence must have taken a nose dive missing the all important penalty for England U21s in the summer. He'll come good again.
The main difference between the Watford game and the Palace game, we made mistakes and got punished against Watford, made mistakes and got away with them against Palace (with a little help from Fraser).
