If I hadn't seen that with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it.

Six against the top 6, the rest against bus parking.

Told you lot months ago that this is what would happen with the move to Wembley - you laughed your socks off at the very thought. <laugh> #hoodoo

Let's put it behind us as a post mortem is useless.

We did not think at least 12 PL away teams would
actually stay on the bus once they arrived at Wembley.

Spurs looking to score for 30th consecutive home game. Beaten Swansea 10/12 PL games and unbeaten against them.
    So 0-0 it is.
    No Wembley hoodoo:emoticon-0138-think

Just a suggestion: next time we think that Davies needs a rest, can we have Georgiou on the bench so we have an actual left back in our matchday squad?

Didn't need to be 'told' - it was obvious from your previous Wembley form that it was going to follow you into this season

I wish these commentators would shut up about Wembley. It's got nothing to do with Wembley.

We set ourselves up in an absolute mess from the start.
Every team is parking the bus against us. There's no central space. In order to make space, you need to pull the opposition apart. To do that you need wide, fast, dangerous players.
Trippier is offering us absolutely nothing at Wembley. He's too timid and is playing into the hands of the opposition. And was then played out on the left. And what happened then? - He kept passing the ball backwards or inside. The minute Aurier came on, it added a new dimension, the one we needed from the start. Not an hour in.
Did Davies really need the whole game off, when we're 5 games into the season, and technically he could have a week off all next week if needed, as I'm sure someone else could cover midweek?
Alli continues to be terrible, and needed to be replaced, but somehow remained on the pitch.
Sissoko "being better than normal" still isn't good enough. He's not up to the level of the other players. You have no idea what he will do with his final touch, but you know it'll be ****e. Hence his row Z shot and cross that went out for a goal kick. Should not be starting for us.
Son is not a LWB and was much more effective when played in his natural position. Funny that!

Poch has a lot to answer for after that mess of a team. 2 points dropped when we really needed our best players in their natural positions on the pitch to continue our form and build confidence, and end any talk of this Wembley hoodoo crap, which really isn't the case, but will now continue to rear its ugly head.

I'm not even going to mention Mike dean. We didn't get some important decisions, but that's football and it happens to everyone. One thing we can do is look after ourselves and make sure we put ourselves in the best place to win the game.

Today felt like a total experiment.

This is nothing to do with a jinx or a lack of confidence.

There was a serious whiff of arrogance from some of the team at the start in my opinion.

Dele and Dier did not put the required work load in from the beginning.

Imo only Toby, Sanchez, Vertongen, Sanchez and Son played well.

    Sissoko and Lloris did ok.

Dele, Dier, Trippier and Eriksen were disappointing.

Every Spurs player deserves 10 out of 10 today, for effort and commitment. Well played.

Referee was **** thou. more or less cost us those points out there today.
So Mike Dean you're an ass. Don't want to see you for a while pls.

In fairness to Eriksen, he was man marked the whole bloody game, which is going to happen, as he'll rip teams apart. (And yes his free kicks were ****e as usual)
But we did nothing to help him out so he could get into the game. Fair play to Swansea, they were superb at keeping him quiet.

Son at wingback was just stupid.
It was stupid in the semifinal and it's still stupid now.
Davies could manage another game, especially against his old club.
If not, then pick Walker-Peters, who can actually play there.

Sissoko at home against a side set up to defend was also a mistake.
Dembele or Winks, if the Belgian's not up to playing again so soon.
    We needed the creativity.

The subs were poor too, for me.
Trippier was utterly removed as any sort of threat by moving him to the left.
It was like attacking with 10 men.

Pochettino has to hold his hands up for this one.

Trippier has got to take a leaf out of Davies' book and take some risks. Not once has he taken a full back on and put a cross in. He needs to show the opposition that he's prepared to do it to give them something different to think about and test their defending. It won't be successful all the time, nor is it needed all the time. But at the moment he's the easiest player on the pitch to mark.
Davies has been brilliant since playing with more freedom and trying this.
As things stand, I only want to see Aurier on that side. He appears superior to Trippier in every way right now.

Swansea had a game plan and deserved their point.

We should be able to adapt from game to game and during a game but that is something we struggle with.

However, if everyone has done all they can at the end of the day then so be it but Dier and Dele did not do that today. Not by a long shot.

It does make me wonder if they have believed their own hype. Wanyama is desperately needed back.

Trippier was no threat anywhere not just on the left. This is just our usual slow start, despite which we are still 5th so it's not the end of the world.
Just remember we might have had two penalties which would have changed things and with the effort we put in would have been accepted as a hard won game. Plus some credit to Swansea for their disciplined effort.
