Quality day today, just got back from London and cracked open a beer. Today just reminded me how much I prefer away games to going to St Marys. Class atmosphere for 90 minutes. Like Sellhurst for what's it worth, nice old school ground with character. Also... 'we scored a goal, we scored a goal, we scored a gooaaaallll!' Up the ****ing Saints
Used to go to Selhurst Park loads back in the late 80's early 90's when Charlton played there. Palace were mostly a division 2 side back then. Used to go with my Charlton supporting mates when Arsenal were playing away and I couldn't afford to go or couldn't get tickets for the all-ticket games. Like you say, nice old school ground with a good atmosphere. My great Aunt used to live in Norwood too, so I'd always pop round afterwards and she'd make me some sarnies and serve up those little square cakes with icing for nipples what the **** were they called ?
Would also add the Palace atmosphere thing is a ****ing myth. It's exactly the same as every other ground that generally speaking there's one section that sings and the test do **** all. And even that section was only a few hundred who were pretty constant from what I could see. Good acoustics in the Arthur wait though, couldn't hear them from the other end tbh, except that stupid ****ing drum.
Son looks impressive until his final shot. Then he becomes Kalou Fabianski is so uncertain as usual. Tammy is not getting any service. Sanchez is uncertain. Can be tested. Clement pulls Sanches and leaves Clucas?
Dean screws up another Penalty call. Aurier should have had a penalty for Kane's customary PK goal. I agree.
another day Spuds would have got 2 Penalties easily. Aurier was stonewall pen. Dean screwed up. I am not complaining though
Spurs with their world class defence get another clean sheet. I'm glad that the greatest goalscorer and Englands finest striker helped spurs to a result
