I've got chicken and veg in the slow cooker for when I get home. I'm also having carrot cake and custard for dessert. I've also had great news about something coming up for me in 3 weeks time £££££
I feel asleep watching TV before Christmas last season and my son woke me up and the " Yule time Log Fire " was on the TV burning softy .. My son looked at it and then me and smirked and said " Good Times ".
Went to look at a house yesterday. The owner is really into forests. One of the bedrooms had images of trees painted on the walls. Not so weird. Instead of carpet on the floor there was astroturf. Weird.
Chilling listening to the 'Let's get free album by Dead Prez' - forgot how good it is, I grew up on this ****. More than an album, ****s a message.
Have to admit that I'm not a great F1 fan... bit too much like synchronized moto procession for me ...My former father in law was a big fan and persuaded me to watch a full grand prix once - was the British one at Silverstone - Murray Walker was commentating - he got all excited as to whether Schumacher would still be in the lead after his pit stop - that was the only possibility of anyone actually swapping places in the whole fookin' race, I kid you not
He was probably a fan because it used to be good mate, I watched a lot as a kid. Prost, Senna etc. Now it's just about the cars. Shame as a truly great tradition has been totally ruined. Not sure why it has such a big following anymore tbh?
Did actually enjoy the qualifying day that I went to as part of corporate hospitality ... the noise of the cars was amazing...
Was with KPMG at the time, they had a box on the corner "copse" ?? you'd go out on the balcony but literally couldn't hear the bloke next to you (which would have come in handy if that had been you) ... was fine dining. Also had two Formula 1 teams as clients when I was with E&Y, Renault and Stryker (now Force India) - think they were Arrows then Midland before that. Anyway - they had offices where they did the engine testing at Silverstone/Milton Keynes - that side was interesting.
Spectating at track events is as boring as ****. You get a glimpse as they fly past and have to watch the TV to keep up with what's actually going on. I've been on a few corporate jollies at tracks but just sit at the bar, ****ing pointless.
